how about the tire brand? my 09 had the oem pirelli all seasons. my 16 has hankooks which as extremely noisy. i run dedicated snow/winter tires in the winter and they are far quieter than the hankooks.

i think you're mixing kilograms and pounds. The edge has a curb weight of around 1800 kg. More for AWD, less for FWD.

that is total BS on ford's part. i would not accept this. i would be on the war path for sure.

refer to Ford's Field Service Action (FSA) 17B39 it is indeed a known problem to Ford. I received a notice and my dealer fixed it at no cost.

when the gear selector is in D, gear selection using the paddle shifters is temporary. when the gear selector is in S, using the paddle shifters puts the transmission into manual selection until you shift out of S. does anyone know if you can get out of manual mode and back into automatic without touching the gear shift?

Going from 20 inch rims to 18 inch rims
ben senise replied to ccutaia1's topic in Accessories & Modifications
those two tires should be the same overall diameter according to https://tiresize.com/ or any other tire size calculator on the web. i plugged in 245 for the 18" wheels since i assumed 243 was a typo. -

thanks for the update. it's always nice to know what happened in the end with the problem. hope you get many more km out of it. -
i received a recall notice about this issue and had my dealer check it during a service. apparently it was due to something around the wiper motor IIRC. i'm sure if you do some research you can find the recall notice. [edit to add:] apparently it is Field Service Action (FSA) 17B39 [2nd edit to add:] it's on my service invoice so it's official.

Backup Camera manual engage?
ben senise replied to KennyE's topic in Audio, Backup, Navigation & SYNC
that is exactly the one i got. mine didn't come with any tape though. i don't think tape would stick to concrete though. it has four holes for screws, one of them is just by your little finger on your right hand. screwing into a half-inch plug in the concrete did the trick for me. -
Backup Camera manual engage?
ben senise replied to KennyE's topic in Audio, Backup, Navigation & SYNC
i tried a few blobs of glue but nothing i had would stick to the plastic of that yellow thing i bought. It has holes in the corners so i drilled small holes in the concrete and put plugs and screws in to hold the thing down. so far, so good. -
this, exactly!!!

i really enjoyed reading your review. thanks for posting it!

this. exactly. i've had many cars in europe with factory fogs and i lived in a place that often saw dense fog so i did use them regularly. the key to using fog lights is turning the headlights off and driving slowly. they were true fog lights and none of them were yellow.

why does "blue's" have an apostrophe? is it possessive or simply plural? i've noticed that you your signature too but i though it was because the wagon belonged to blue, hence "blue's wagon" like john's wagon or steve's wagon. i've got the blues. rhythm and blues.

Backup Camera manual engage?

this is not a direct answer to your question, but more answer "thinking outside the box" answer. I used to use my rearview camera when i park in my garage to make sure i'm in far enough but want to leave as much room as possible between the front bumper and wall. here's a pic of what i put on the floor. i'm sure you can get them at many places. i got mine at Lee Valley for CAD15 which is about USD11-12. It's very precise and i've got it positioned so that there's only six inches or so between the rear bumper and garage door. i just pull in and the wheel stops in this thing. very easy and fast. -
you can have my badges. i always take them off every one of my cars. why do i need to tell the person behind me what car it is? or what level of trim?

personally, i would go for the AWD, especially in Michigan.

if the speakers had a digital input, then they would each need a converter and amp. a so-called digital amp simply has the DAC built in instead of external. an amp cannot amplify a digital signal, you can't make a 0 or 1 "bigger." somewhere between the source file and the amplification, the data needs to be converted to analog. where it gets converted and what tech is converting it will determine its quality but the basics are irrefutable; digital source->conversion to analog->amplification->speakers

if you're on a level road, doing 60 kph, with a light foot on the pedal, i'd guess that the car would have you in 5th gear around 1500 rpm. i think 60 is too slow for 6th. when you stomp on the pedal, i would think the transmission would drop down to 3rd and the revs would jump to 4-5000(?). so when you say bogging down, do you mean the transmission shifts back up a gear and the rpm drop to what they were when you were cruising at 60? if so, then the transmission is just not holding the lower gear for some reason.
