  1. Congratulations on the new ride. Did you try the switch on the end of the turn signal stalk?
  2. Take it the dealer. The APIM, the heart of the MyFord Touch, has an extended warranty, 5 years from original purchase date and since your Edge is a 2012 it should still be covered.
  3. This is cheaper & the guy who does it "jmr061" is member on this forum & a very active member on http://www.explorerforum.com:
  4. The 2011-2015 Edge has 4 bulbs type 3157K. 2 on each side, 1 in the upper half & 1 in the lower half. The bulb is a dual filament type so 1 filament operates the parking lights & the other for the brakes. Most probably you have the brake filament burnt, hence only the tails/park lights are still working.
  5. 1) Yes, power means mirror adjustment is power. 2) Yes it does have a power operated sunshade. 3) Yes. 4) On the 2016, Acoustic glass is on Windshield and the two front side windows. On the 2015 only the windshield. 5) Yes. HID & Halogen lights are both projectors. 6) Yes, Sync has USB connectivity. 7) There are USB charging points, but not sure how many. 8) They are the lights under the side view mirrors that illuminate the ground near the vehicle when you remote unlock or open a door.
  6. As per the 2016 Edge Order Guide, the Ambient lights are standard on both the Titanium & Sport models.
  7. Yes, but the MKX's 3.7L engine is exactly the same as that of the Edge Sport's. So it doesn't have a unique powertrain.
  8. akirby, I am referring to the 2011-2014 Edge & 2011-2015 MKX and I meant the mechanical parts such as Engine, Transmission, rest of the drivetrain, most of the suspension (if not all) and all brakes. In other words, parts that are usually a concern for repairs are the similar.
  9. It seems you missed the post just above yours!
  10. For the 1st question, the answer is no. The 20" wheels are a separate option than the 301A or 302A packages which included the push button start. But it seems the majority of optioned up (is that even term?) Edges are also optioned with 20" wheels. For your information, most people never notice the difference in ride/noise between the 18" & 20" wheels on the Edge, some even go as far as recommending the 22" wheels on the Sport. I myself never tried them back to back to make my own judgment. Also, you might want to look at the Lincoln MKX, it is the luxury version of the Edge, but about 99% of mechanical parts are identical, so the parts & service are the same, many body parts are different, obviously, but when shopping used the price different might not be that much. Also the Lincoln has a 4 year /50K mile bumper to bumper & 6 year/70K mile powertrain warranties (1 year & 10-14K miles more than Ford).
  11. The TSB (attached) was for 2011 Edge/MKX. If you Edge is still under warranty, then definitely take it to the dealer before doing anything further. Also, like Akirby stated, swap the front tires to make sure it is not the tires & make sure there non of the brakes are dragging. TSB 10-24-8_Drift Pull Right.pdf
  12. The difference between 18" & 20" is the weight. The wheel is heavier, obviously because it's bigger, but also the tire. Even though one might think that the wheel should be lighter having the same outer diameter but with a smaller hight (larger inner diameter), but checking tire specs, 20" wheels are either the same weight or slightly heavier than 18" wheels.
  13. Was not even trying to question your findings, I was surprised how there are gaps between the actual wheel and the chrome cladding. By the way, if you don't like the cladding, you can remove it. Was done by at least a member on this forum. I also tend to agree that balancing would not have differed (much) if P or LT was selected on the machine, but the fact that the selection is there would indicate that it is something the manufacturer of the balance machine considered.
  14. Aren't tire sizes starting with "P" considered "P-Metric"? The Edge specified P245/60R18. If they were LT tires, they would have stated LT248/60R18. Here is info I found ion the "P - LT".
  15. Just yesterday @threeputtpar posted here his guide.
  16. March 01 update for the 2016 Edge Order Guide & Feb 17 updated for the "Color - Upholstery - Wheel Guide" attached. 2016 Edge Order Guide - 01-Mar-2016.pdf 2016 Edge Color - Upholstery - Wheel Guide - 17-Feb-2016.pdf
  17. This reminds me, thanks @WWWPerfA_ZN0W & @george3359, I got the head cover replaced, under the standard bumper to bumper warranty since my MKX was still under it, at the time. @Tom Maiello, it is definitely covered under the basic bumper to bumper warranty, but I believe that also the extended drivetrain should cover it since "Valve Covers" is mentioned under the Engine components covered by it.
  18. Mac, noticed in the road force balance, "LT tires" was selected, aren't the Edge's tires passenger "P" tires? Wouldn't that affect the balancing?
  19. Not sure about a fuse doing a trick, but if you want the circuit/wires responsible, check this post.
  20. Arabski, I just remembered, in 2013 or 2014, the panel was changed to have a physical button for the hazard lights (flashers), earlierm Odell had a capacetive (touch) button. Make sure you get the newer one. Also, before changing the part, I suggest you remove it & see if the circuit at the back might be out of position which is causing it not to work. Maybe it can be fixed.
  21. Please also post pictures from a distance to show how the Edge now looks.
  22. The AWD (4WD) system of the 2017 is probably the same as the 2016. Between the Edge & the Escape, the AWD system should not be a factor for choosing 1 over the other, both probably have the same all wheel drive capabilities. The Explorer, on the other hand, even though it doesn't have a true 4WD system, it does have a the terrain management system, which is software based, but will help in certain situation better than a AWD vehicle without it.
  23. The fans would be the culprit if the A/C blows cold while moving, but cooling reduces when stopped or at low speeds. If the A/C is not cooling at any speed, then it is something else (regardless if the fans are ok or not). Just a reminder as it is often overlooked, did you check/replace the cabin air filter behind the glove box? It will affect the performance of the A/C if it is old or clogged.
