I just noticed that the gear shift indicator on the center console does NOT indicate which position is selected. Is that normal? All positions are illuminated white, I thaught that the selected position would be orange. Is that normal?

Your car has a regular key, so the car should start even if the battery is dead! Also, since the door lock was opened using the FOB, the battery must have been ok. Did you try the same key again later?

The oil life indicator is like a calculator that takes milage, time & engine operating conditions into account to calculate oil life. The system does NOT actually measure the oil life by a sensor. For those who would like to go for a 5000 miles (or six months) intervals, simply adjust the Oil life to 50% after an oil change. As for the other services to be performed, what I understand, you have to do them with any oil change interval that comes within 3000 miles, but if you reach the milage specified for any service, but you do not have any oil change requirement within 3000 miles, then you should perform that service without waiting for an oil change.

Are you sure you dont have anything loose placed under the cargo floor, around the spare tire?

I have a HTC One X with Sense 4+, so I geuss it should be a simliar experience to the DNA. Everything works except Contact Photos & Sync always tells me that the phone does not support Text messaging even though messages I receive are received by Sync & are even read out loud by it.

I agree with Edgieguy, there is still now way to add factory NAV after the car leaves the factory. It is NOT a simple SD card issue as many people were led to believe when they purchased their MFT equipped vehicles.

I know its not for an Edge, but there was a person who installed OEM HIDs from a Taurus SHO to his non-HID Taurus Limited. The differences in the wiring harness might give you indiciation to what might also be different in the case of the Edge. http://community.webshots.com/album/576444195utMbwN

The front windsheild is soundproof, but also the front doors should have them. But there is no "SoundScreen" writing on them, roll down the side windows & the look at edge or feel for the double layer. The rear doors have normal single plane windows, so you can compare to them to the fronts to find out.

Check your front windows, are they made of two layeres each? You can see it from the top of the window, if it is then you have sound insulating side windows. I am geussing that the Limited has them, but not the SEL, if so, this might explain what you experienced.

As per the 2013 Edge Source book, the sport is rated as 19/26 for FWD and 17/23 for AWD.

You have to check your Owner's manual & the oil dipstick to determine what oil to use. My 2011 MKX speciies Mercon LV for the transmission fluid. Note: Mercon V is specified for the Power Steering fluid.

I have had the update since November & never seen an inverted image.

You have to look around under the dash. It is going to be hard to find out whats wrong without knowing what system is installed and having its installation/operation guide.

Ford moved to NAVTEQ for maps, I don't have NAV in my car, but I believe that part of the "Performance Upgrade" was the switch to NAVTEQ maps.

gknuckles; Are you sure you have the Factory remote start? I know that the factory remote (for a 2008) is actually a dealer installed option & would have a fob with a single button for starting. If it is not a factory system, the antenna for the remote system might have disconnected.

Its not a bad idea to do it just to be on the safe side.

Yes. A4 SD Card works on the 3.5.1 update. It is a simple process to do the update, just remember it will take around 45-60 minutes and your engine must remain running the whole time. You can drive it while installing the update, but you won't be able to use the screen or Audio. Remember to do a Master reset before and after the update.

Check the window sticker, does it list Navigation as part of the 302A package or as a seperate option? If it does, then your car MUST have the map/screen based Navigation. Also, what version of MFT odes it have? If it is the latest, V3.5.1, A3 SD Card will not work, you will need the new A4 Card. To find out the installed version number, go to Settings > Help > System Information > S/W Version If it is 4.29.12285, then you have V3.5.1 > needs A4 SD Card. If it is 4.28.12156, then you have V3.2.2 > A3 SD card. If it is 4.26.12023, then you have V3.0.2 > A3 SD Card.

Do you know how did the dealer fix it? Also, where is that dealer located? I still have the same problem. Thanks.
