  1. Thanks for trying and informing me. Seems I have something wrong. Will have to do some investigating.
  2. New Firmware has been released for most of OBDLink's adapters. "This release fixed a serious bug: Fixed FATAL ERROR when using multi-frame reception on CAN".
  3. Working in Purchasing, I concur with @handfiler. Though I am not in Canada, but the concept is similar. When clearing goods you pay for several items. One of those items is "Customs Duty" and in some cases there would be no "Customs Duty" but you'd still pay for the other charges. See this link to Canada Border Services Agency Duty & Taxes Estimator shows "0" Duty charges in case you select an Automotive part made in a NAFTA country (Canada, the United States and Mexico). Also if you select "Electronic & Media" (Tablets/E-Readers, Phones or Computers), the Duty is also "0" regardless of NAFTA origin or not.
  4. May I ask if you could please check this scenario? With the engine running and doors closed, lock the doors. Then turn off the engine and open the driver's door only (without pressing the unlock button so the other doors are still locked, red LEDs would be on), does the tailgate button on the dash still work? Thanks.
  5. Update: I have updated the firmware on my OBDLink MX Bluetooth (not MX+) & OBDLink EX to the latest versions using the OBDLink Android App and both are working fine. So it seems only the MX+ has issues as faced by @Gadgetjq.
  6. It is called a Pull Handle. Part# FT4Z-5831458-AA.
  7. Just wanted to check if this is normal, I noticed that in my 2016 Edge Sport, the tailgate button in the dash panel (next to the headlight knob) stops working as soon as I shut off the engine regardless of door lock status. If the door unlock button is pressed then it works again. If the engine was running the switch works.
  8. Thanks for the heads up. Note: you can also update using your phone with the OBDLink app (at least on the Android app). Settings>Firmware upgrade. The app would download it for you and flash it directly.
  9. Could be as stated above. Another thought, you mentioned that you replaced the "top side bulbs", meaning you kept the lower bulbs stock? Maybe that's what is messing it up, having two types of bulbs in the same electrical circuit.
  10. There is no stock alarm with a shock sensor on the Edge, as far as I know. It is probably an add on. If it is, you'll need to find out how to reduce the sensitivity. The Ford Accessories add on would have a knob to change the sensitivity. The instructions for a 2015-2018 Edge would have the module strapped behind the steering column and could be accessed from the fuse panel door (near where the driver's left knee would be).
  11. Smart idea. But I found out that today's giant smartphones can still be put in the door handle area and they won't fall because of their length.

    New ST-Line

The whole 1st Gen Edge Sport was mostly appearance trim. The significant performance upgrade of the Edge Sport/ST only started in 2015.
  13. Hope for the best for future. The Palisade seems a really nice ride. Hope you enjoy and it serves you for many years & miles.
  14. Ford now sells their switch separately (link) (without the whole shifter). This was part of TSB 17- 2219 (link).
  15. It is for when the fob's battery is dead and the vehicle is not able to get a signal. You put the fob there and it will pickup the fob's signal in order to start the engine. Even if the fob's battery was removed you can still start the engine if the fob is placed there.
  16. Disabled completely or reduced? On my 2016 Sport, it is there but just a bit. Opening the driver's door (just to get the interior lights on) will disable it and the difference is noticable. But it no where as much or annoying as what I heard in reviews for the 2019 ST when it came out.
  17. On the 2015-2018 models, only the Sport had it. For 2019+ I'm not sure, but the order guide shows it only with the ST.
  18. I believe it is refered to as "Accessory Delay".
  19. If you mean the front one which is also the front turn signal bulb, you can do so in ForScan. I posted it previously in this thread. Because it looks so much better ? I posted some night shots in that thread. But if the OP is from Europe and had an imported US Edge, he would probably want to do it to comply to some regulation about front marker light that should be white, which the signature lights would comply to I guess. Found similar questions in the ForScan forums.
  20. I agree with @1004ron that these parts are better OEM. Check how the parking light illuminates at the back, is it the surrounding trim that would continue the light bar illumination? If yes, then that is the correct part for the Sport/Titanium. Maybe you just got a defective part. Not sure if the connector is the same, maybe try to connect it on the other side just to check the light function.
  21. Did you replace it with a new or used part? Are you sure you got the correct part? SEL & SE use a different part even though they look similar in daylight, the illuminate differently at night.
