Member's details not shown anymore?
omar302 replied to handfiler's topic in Forum Help & Site Suggestions
I remember the details were shown, like region, number of posts and most importantly their vehicle (model/year). That was helpful, I don't see them anymore. Is it a setting I'm missing? -
The attached is probably the latest, but can't confirm it. MC-10164418-0001.pdf

I didn't try it myself, but as per the Owners Manual, there is a second button/tab that should also be pressed for removing the headrest (both buttons to be pressed simultaneously while pulling up).

Need help new owner keyless entry/keys
omar302 replied to Itsdjellz's topic in Alarms, Keyless Entry, Locks & Remote Start
Using ForScan you might be be able to get the door code. Or, if you get a working 2nd key, there is a procedure in the Owners Manual to show the code. It is under "Displaying the Factory-Set Code" To get a 2nd key as you only have 1 key now, you can go to a dealer, the more expensive option. Or for a cheaper options, you can buy it online (e-bay for example) and take it to a locksmith that has the proper equipment to program it for you & get the emergency key cut. Also, ensure who ever does the programming to erase the missing key so it does not work on your car anymore. -
Congrats & welcome to the forums.

1- I do. 2- I remember it around 27-28 psi for the warning to illuminate. 3- At 30psi, tires will probably wear on the edges noticably more than the center. Also it would have a small effect on fuel consumption.

OBDLink Announces New Wired OBDII Reader
omar302 replied to Gadgetjq's topic in Accessories & Modifications
Make sure you have the latest firmware on the MX, might be a cause for your connection issues. Connecting with the OBDlink should prompt you for the update. MX reached Firmware V4.6.1, also the EX reached V5.1.3. -
On the subject of Engine Cover, found this stated in the 2015 Edge Source Book:

Heater core replacement involved removing the whole dash. So it is a labor intensive job. Also I am not sure if the OEM heater core is sold separately or as an assembly.

Fluttering Noise from Undercarriage and Dashboad Rattle
omar302 replied to CCMAYES72's topic in Brakes, Chassis & Suspension
Seeing how on both sides they use screws while only the middle ones are like that makes me think that if it where fixed directly without some sort of insulator it would have an adverse effect on something, probably noise or vibration.- 90 replies

It does not sound normal, as what @akirby stated above. You could try to disconnect the vehicle's battery for ~10 minutes so it will re-learn the adaptive parameters and see if it helps.

Fluttering Noise from Undercarriage and Dashboad Rattle
omar302 replied to CCMAYES72's topic in Brakes, Chassis & Suspension
I had meant that the shield itself has a new part number. Right side: K2GZ-5811782-A replaces G2GZ-5811782-D Left side: K2GZ-5811782-B replaces FT4Z-5811782-B, FT4Z-5811782-G, FT4Z-5811782-H- 90 replies

It is strange that you are having those issues on the 2017. Seems you might need to try another dealer. Or just try to disconnect the battery for ~10 minutes to reset the PCM.

Fluttering Noise from Undercarriage and Dashboad Rattle
omar302 replied to CCMAYES72's topic in Brakes, Chassis & Suspension
The same link from post, go down and you'll see another diagram for middle/rear part of underneath the Edge. #1 here has left and right parts. Opening anyone of them will give more details of the part in addition to the part numbers it replaces.- 90 replies

I am guessing that this is what you are looking for. if it is what you mean, then the shipping cost is much higher than what it is actually worth.

ST owners will probably give you better opinion, but the 2019 ST was only a mid cycle refresh. The main mechanical change was the 8-Speed transmission which had several "software" updates to correct shifting issues. I don't recall any mention of any hardware changes between 2019 & 2020 models. Another issue was the adaptive headlights not functioning on 2019 models but was corrected with a software update. My suggestion is to tests drive the specific 2019 ST you are looking at and feel for the transmission shifts, if it is fine then go for it. Link to a post with the 2020 Edge Order Guide.

Ok, so I checked it today. It is not a bulb. I twisted it out and it only had wires on the other side going inside the assembly.

You are right, it does look like a bulb base that can be removed. Hopefully someone can answer this.

These are LEDs, there is no "bulb". It comes as a full assembly only and is replaced completely if is not working working.

Welcome to the forums. Nice rides. What mods do you have on the Edge?
-
There is no rear one touch windows on the Edge only to reduce cost. Ford has them on some other vehicles and all (most) Lincolns. Even the Euro Edge has them. And one more item to add to the decontented list is the small drawer to the left of the steering wheel.

Do climate controls show in the instrument cluster?
omar302 replied to colinc755's topic in 2017-2018 Edge & MKX
That is correct. This is how it is on newer models. But you can add them using ForScan.- 1 reply
