  1. To reset the battery management system for the new battery, either a dealer can do it (or anyone with Ford's IDS) or using ForScan. It's a free application on the PC that needs a compatible adapter. Not sure if your adapter works with it or not. Check ForScan.org Regarding the outside temp display and the odd operation of the HVAC, try to disconnect the battery for a few minutes. Sometimes electronics need resetting to work correctly.
  2. I believe the tow hook refers to the small screw-in eye hook that some vehicles have. Export Edges have bumpers with an access hole and cover for it. Like this:
  3. I found posts for two members cutting the existing bumper to install the factory hitch. To me it looks as factory looking as possible. I don't recall anyone trying a 2019+ bumper retrofit, but will involve a lot of parts. I know the liftgate changed. So did the left quarter panel and both rear splash shields. The right quarter panel has the same part number. I looked up those parts because they all connect to the bumper.
  4. Welcome & congrats on the new Edge.
  5. I didn't know it was a MAP sensor instead of a MAF. Attached is the procedure for removing it. Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) Sensor.pdf
  6. How is the ride in comparison to the stocks? Also, remember that this new size has a larger diameter, ~0.8". So your speed will be faster than indicated. Compared to stock size, at 60 mph, your actual speed will be about 61.6 mph.
  7. Yes, I am in Qatar so I know the summer heat. It is normal for the 2011 to 2014 to be like that. Even in the morning it is above 32 C, right? I had a 2011 MKX (similar to the Edge) and it was like that. Take your Edge for a car wash were the outside temperature reading will become lower than 30 for a while after the wash and you'll hear fans turning at lower speeds.
  8. Where are you located? In the Middle East, the Edge will have its fans run on full speed if the A/C is on and the outside temperature is higher than a certain limit. I think it was 32 or 34 C. Or thereabouts.
  9. 30-45 minutes. You can do update while driving, you just won't have access to the infotainment screen.
  10. Sorry, can't help with the slits. Couldn't find where I had read it before. For the steering wheel recall, it was actually a satisfaction recall, only those built between June 25, 2014 and September 14, 2016. Also, the program seems to have had an expiry date on 29/02/2020. https://ford.oemdtc.com/4337/satisfaction-program-19b04-steering-wheel-replacement-2015-2016-ford-edge-2016-lincoln-mkx
  11. Sorry, I don't. All I have is for the 2015. Courtesy of https://www.mactgarage.com/. For the recall, there were two. Airbag & steering wheel. If the did the steering wheel recall after the airbag, which they should have, then the new steering wheel wouldn't have the slits because they are only required for removal.
  12. If it was a 2018 or 2019 Edge built on or before 1-Aug-2019, then it has has the old sealing method & TSB 19-2837 addresses that with a new oil pan equipped with a press in place gasket. Howerver, if it was a 2020 (or 2019 built after 01-Aug-1019), well.... (more insult?) Link: https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2019/MC-10169894-0001.pdf
  13. You need to also remove the top steering column cover to expose the other torx screw. See the attache procedures. You don't need to remove the Airbag. For information, the 2016-2018 Edge Sport has an adaptive steering, so removing the Airbag is slightly different. The holes for removing the Airbag (same location) are covered. You would need to make slits to the steering wheel trim at the same location where they would be. You would know if it was removed or not earlier. I know this because my 2016 Sport first had the driver Airbag recall (replacement), so the dealer had to make the slits. Then I had the Adaptive Steering wheel recall (also replaced). So now the slits are gone. Good as new. Steering Column Shrouds.pdf Steering Column Multifunction Switch RH.pdf Steering Column Multifunction Switch LH.pdf Edit: This Fusion Video I think is clearer:
  14. Congratulations & welcome to the Forums.
  15. You have a 2013, the MKX speedo upgrade refereed to in @TXFRDOwner & @onyxbfly posts wouldn't work (changing the Edge's speedo to the newer Lincoln style). I think there is a misunderstanding here. I believe your question is whether the right screen on your stock speedometer will still work after upgrading to Sync 3. In this case, yes, the screen will work with Sync 3.
  16. Without the factory tow package, the 3.5 Edge is rated to 2000 lbs. The rating will not change even if you put a class II hitch. Sway control is one part, but the tow package usually also has additional cooling capacity like an engine oil cooler.
  17. Maybe moderators aren't allowed to sell or buy on the forums, conflict of interests ?. I just accessed the classifieds, no problems.
  18. As stated above, two other ways to know, if it is equipped with rain sensing wipers the wiper stalk will have "Auto" written on it and there will be this plastic cover behind/above the interior rear view mirror.
  19. If you want cool, these lights are very cool replacements. https://drivebright.com/shop/ford-edge-led-drl-kit-with-built-in-led-turn-signal-with-black-accent-color/

  22. I had earlier went through As Built Data for a 2019 MKX and a 2018 F-150, both with ventilated seats, and the ABD blocks structure look similar to the 2019 Edge I poster earlier (with the additional blocks), so I was thinking it might be ventilated only after all, until your post proving they are still cooled. Can anyone who upgraded from a 2016-2018 Edge with cooled seats to a 2019-2020 Edge with cooled seats confirm their experience?
  23. Looks sharp. Do you have the factory front camera? If so, how did you keep it with the Honey comb grille? when looking for the grille there doesn't seem to be an offering with the camera hole for it.
  24. On the F-150 they changed the design starting with the 2018 model. F-150Forum has a thread on the cooled seat fix issue & the new mechanism is pictured in this post. The 2019 Nautilus Parts listing does show the new blowers. So maybe they only changed them on the Nautilus and not on the 2019 Edge, related to the new for 2019 availability of 22 way adjustable seats and hence the redesign of the seats and new blowers, while the Edge still kept the same seats (minor cover changes).
  25. This post includes a how to for doing the opposite. It might give you some idea how to do what you need.
