Can I disable artificial engine sound in cabin?
omar302 replied to Jombi's topic in Interior, A.C., Heat, Interior Trim
Disabled completely or reduced? On my 2016 Sport, it is there but just a bit. Opening the driver's door (just to get the interior lights on) will disable it and the difference is noticable. But it no where as much or annoying as what I heard in reviews for the 2019 ST when it came out. -

On the 2015-2018 models, only the Sport had it. For 2019+ I'm not sure, but the order guide shows it only with the ST. -

Only the windows version with an extended license. -
How much did it cost you?

I believe it is refered to as "Accessory Delay".

If you mean the front one which is also the front turn signal bulb, you can do so in ForScan. I posted it previously in this thread. Because it looks so much better ? I posted some night shots in that thread. But if the OP is from Europe and had an imported US Edge, he would probably want to do it to comply to some regulation about front marker light that should be white, which the signature lights would comply to I guess. Found similar questions in the ForScan forums.

I agree with @1004ron that these parts are better OEM. Check how the parking light illuminates at the back, is it the surrounding trim that would continue the light bar illumination? If yes, then that is the correct part for the Sport/Titanium. Maybe you just got a defective part. Not sure if the connector is the same, maybe try to connect it on the other side just to check the light function.

Replaced battery car alarm sounds
omar302 replied to Deborah.spring's topic in Alarms, Keyless Entry, Locks & Remote Start
Put the key fob inside the slot inside the front center armrest. You can see where the slot is in @macbwt's video below at around the 2:15 mark. -
Clarification on a few Forscan Codes
omar302 replied to soUNTOUCHABLE's topic in Accessories & Modifications
Hyperflash refers to the turn signals. They would flash twice as fast when and LED bulb is installed instead of a stock incandescent. As for LED flashing on a camera but not visible to the naked eye is normal as far as I know. -
That is the 8-speed with the 2.0 Engine. With the ST, the tranny is a 6F55 with two added gears, one between the old 1 & 2 and the other is an added over drive after the old 6th.

What have you done to/with your Edge/MKX today?
omar302 replied to WWWPerfA_ZN0W's topic in Accessories & Modifications
Where you able to remove the old ones without taking the wheels off? If so how? -
As @Itsdjellz pointed above, the 2019 Edge has it. The 2019 Edge also has "Lane Centering" and Evasive Steering assist, which as far as i know, the Fusion still don't offer. The thing with new tech is it is usually added to a certain vehicle during a new model design or mid-cycle refresh. At least that's how most Fords are.

Leave key fob in car?
omar302 replied to Donny Star's topic in Alarms, Keyless Entry, Locks & Remote Start
What he said ?. Only since you have a physical keypad (not touch), you don't have to hold the buttons, just press them simultaneously. -
Your welcome. Credit has to be given to the source, @macbwt.

LED Signature lights problem
omar302 replied to Nascar99's topic in Glass, Lenses, Lighting, Mirrors, Sunroof (BAMR), Wipers
The below is from the 2015 service manual. My guess is that something got disconnected from the BJB. Check BJB fuse 20. I think it is the same one that is labeled in the owner's manual as "Run/start lighting. Headlamp leveling switch." In the fuse box inside the engine compartment. Also attached is the diagnostics manual. Seems you need Pinpoint Test C. Signature Lamps Each of the signature lamp assemblies consist of multiple Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) that receive fused voltage when the ignition is in ON or START. When the signature lamps receive fused voltage from the BJB, and the parking lamps are OFF, the signature lamps illuminate at full intensity. When the parking lamps are activated and the BCM sends a second voltage to the signature lamps to indicate the parking lamps are activated, the signature lamps operate at a reduced intensity. Replacement Camera upside down

Bad camera? Try to return it. -
Seems an official fix has been issued by Ford to dealers. SSM-48344 (Source). Involves updating the DSP as explained in this thread.

Attached is the procedure from the service manual. It does specify negative cable first. Though I did not change it, but when disconnecting the battery for any reason I would just remove the positive cable, no ground is close to it anyway. Nothing happened, guess I was lucky and should reconsider how I do it next time. Battery R and I.pdf Battery Disconnect and Connect.pdf

Comprehensive List of Possible Forscan Mods?
omar302 replied to ben senise's topic in Accessories & Modifications
Found something new in ForScan, not sure if it was there before v2.3.32, but it is nice. In IPC configuration, you replace the Instant Fuel Economy Bar to an actual reading. Also it can enable a "per Hour" display when the engine is idling. In US units, it'll show g/h and metric will be L/h. But I did notice that the instate numerical display doesn't work very good when in miles/gallon units or Km/L. When coasting, there would be no fuel consumption, so the reading would go to 999.9 Mpg (or km/h), but then it would take a long time for it to adjust to a realistic reading. But when in L/100km, the reading is realistic. Anyway, it is still better than a useless bar & the per hour view when idling is also good. Found out that when stopped, the engine uses more fuel when in "D" than in "P". Another thing I found is the Speedometer "Calibration". There is a EU and US setting. Mine was EU and my speedometer always read about 5km/h higher than the GPS speed. Also the displayed speed would be higher than what was displayed in the Engineering menu. When I changed the calibration to US, the speedo now became within 1 km/h of the GPS speed and Engineering mode's display. -
Want to replace the Xenon HID bulbs
omar302 replied to dustinsteve3859's topic in Accessories & Modifications
First: This is an Edge Forum. You would get better replies in a F-150 forum. Second: In 2000, the F-150 only had Halogen headlights. Third: Even the F-150 with HID (i think 2013-2014) had D3S bulbs, not D8S. -
Welcome. Many useful threads in this forum.

Even if both fans are running, they could be weak. Faced this issue on my previous 2011 MKX. Fans were running, but not full speed and caused an overheat.
