An update to my issue, dealer found AC charge was a little low & topped it up. Now AC is back to normal, both sides cold.

2011 model year mirrors are bigger. They should fit without issue. Get if you really don't want the spotter mirrors, you can get the mirror (or glass only) from a model with BLIS as the have a small led for notification without the spotter mirror.

There is no front camera on models before 2015.

Source We are deploying Aggressive Deceleration Fuel Shut-Off technology to improve fuel efficiency. ADFSO allows fuel supply to the engine to be shut off during vehicle deceleration and then automatically restarted when needed for acceleration or when the vehicles speed approaches zero. This new system builds on the Deceleration Fuel Shut-Off technology available in our existing vehicles by extending the fuel shut-off feature to lower speeds and more types of common driving conditions, without compromising driving performance or emission. This improved fuel shut-off will increase fuel economy by an average of 1 percent. An additional benefit is increased deceleration rates, which should extend brake life and improve speed control on undulating roads. Starting in 2008 this technology was implemented on the Ford Flex, F-150, Expedition and Escape and the Lincoln MKS and Navigator. We are continuing to implement it as we bring out new vehicles. The Engine without fuel is like a big pump that requires energy to turn, this energy it taken from the cars "coasting" momentum, hence slowing it down.

Ok, I am not finding it in the manual, but recent Fords have 2 newer features that have an affect to what you feel: 1) Aggressive Deceleration Fuel Shut-off (ADFSO), when costing the fuel supply is cut-off completely to save fuel which would feel like engine braking, completely normal. 2) When coasting, even in "D" without cruise control, the transmission (as far as I know) does actually downshift to reduce vehicle over speeding when coasting downhill. I think it detects being on a downgrade & hence shifts differently. I drove a 1999 Mercury Sable for a few years and remember how it used to coast, the car would seem like it doesn't slow down without brakes, a complete opposite to newer Fords.

#1 is normal. The speedometer lights need to be very bright in daylight to be visible, but that would make them too bright for night time, so they dim. This is the same on the 2011-2014, also when they dim, the center stack Audio/HVAC switches light up. #2, if it is really a feature, then it is a very good one in my opinion. New cars with dashboards that automatically light up (like on the Edge) sometimes give impressions to owners that the headlights are on (as in older cars) & would then drive with no exterior lights on.

If I were to change the screens a bit, I would suggest giving the option to use the right display screen for functions of oon the left screen, for example if I had the full tach displayed on the left, then I could display fuel or trip on the right when I don't need the usual Nav/Compass/Audio display.

Ok, my bad. The MKX also has the front panel slide above the rear with the rails on the outside, but it is smaller than the Edge's (2016 MKX). Even the part numbers are different & the Edge has a more expensive list price. 2015/2016 Edge Sunroof Front Glass 2016 MKX Sunroof Front Glass

The door handle indent (on the outside) will not lock (work) without a fob near it from the outside. If the only fob is inside the car, the outside door handle will not lock/unlock with the intelligent access feature.

The instrument cluster does show a clear warning when the key is not in the car.

The 2016 MKX doesn't have the same vista roof as the Edge. If I recall correctly, you have the smaller panel in front & when it opens it slides below the rear panel (basically it's a regular moonroof with a big glass panel behind it). The 2015+ Edge has the same vista roof from 2007+ where the front glass is the larger panel & when opening it slides above the rear smaller glass panel. I think due to the big(ger) panel on the Edge & the fact that the rails/tracks are somewhat exposed & more subject to dirt & grime, the pinch sensor cannot be accurate enough like smaller roofs to close completely in a safe manner.

So it does not change the oil in the converter? If all it does is take out old oil & pour in new into the same pan, right?

The 2015 Edge is a new generation, 2011-2014 are the older models. In general, the newer you get would be better, other than very early 2011 builds, there are no specific years with problems. So if you liked the 2011-2014 models, get a 2014. Avoid any unwanted features like AWD or the Vista roof unless you really need them & enjoy. It is also a good idea to get a certified pre-owned with extended warranty for the piece of mind. Another alternative would be the Lincoln MKX, it is mechanically a twin to the Edge with some few more bells & whistles & a longer factory warranty. Only the MKX's new generation debuted in 2016, so the 2015 model is similar to 2011-2014 (unlike the Edge), price for used ones are generally not that much higher than Edges.

Ford knows that heat kills the PTU, hence they extended the warranty on them for those in very hot countries & even provided the replacements with drain valves with ~9K or ~18K mile drain/refill intervals. http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/13533-13m01-middle-east-ptu-extended-warranty/

Mac, How does the machine your using change fluids? I tried to figure it out from you video but could only see a line going through the oil dipstick.

This is just a shot in the dark, try disconnecting the battery for 10-15 minutes to reset all the modules. See if it helps.

@Tjr92024 You case sounds like you dealt with a very bad dealer taking advantage of you being a regular repeat customer! The good thing about people living in the US is you always have other dealers to go to if the service done was not satisfactory.

Hopefully WWWPerfA_ZN0W gets you on the right track. But if your MKX is a 2013, shouldn't it still be under the 4 year 50K miles warranty? If yes, then just take it to your dealer.

Finally was able to get a copy of the latest TSB (attached) for this issue & it seems to be a good update on the previous one including a pressure test. Already talked to my dealer to get my car back to redo parts of the TSB is it is very clear it was not done properly. Hope they'll fix it good this time. tsb15-03-NA.pdf
