  1. @Mikelivingstrong Try a master reset or reseting the HVAC or disconnect the battery for ~10 minutes. Sometimes electronics act up.
  2. BLIS is NOT plug & play. It needs a sensor/radar mounted in the rear bumper (1 for each side), plus wiring & programming. I am not saying it is possible, but it will surely be costly.
  3. The chirp is from the horn? The MKZ has it from a different beeper, if your MKX is also from a beeper than I got it wrong!
  4. The 2017 MKZ now uses a different tone for exterior lock/unlock confirmations. I thought that they changed all Lincoln models at the same time just like how they changed the key fobs to the newer design.
  5. Kleber, also the part number you mentioned is for a 2010. The correct part for 2013 is AU5Z9C915B & it is cheaper. http://www.tascaparts.com/oe-ford/au5z9c915b
  6. Why don't you buy it online from the US & have it shipped to you?
  7. It probably is the canister purge valve, a cheap part to replace. Here is a thread I found for the Ford Explorer with the same engine having the same issue. Go down to a post by ssilence. http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/index.php?threads/p2196-and-p2198-what-to-check.417753/
  8. @Tacyon Do it yourself, there is no official way to disable the double honk. It is really simple using Forscan & a compatible adapter. Newer Fords, as far as I know, still have it with no option to disable, but I think they started switching to a different noise on new Lincolns, a more tolerable noise not from the horn.
  9. Could also be a loose battery connections.
  10. It might be a 2015+ thing. Though the owners manual doesn't show that. http://www.fordservicecontent.com/Ford_Content/vdirsnet/OwnerManual/Home/Content?bookCode=O31263&languageCode=en&marketCode=US&viewTech=IE&chapterTitleSelected=G1675940&subTitleSelected=G1675947&topicHRef=G1448435&div=f&vFilteringEnabled=True
  11. I recently saw a video review of a 2017 Edge & the remote design seems to have been changed similar to the 2017 Fusion. Maybe it will work on a 2015 Edge. http://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/HnsAAOSwJ7RYSZOM/s-l300.jpg
  12. I have an HTC 10 & it was updated recently to nougat, no issues with SMS notifications or reading of messages by MFT. It also announces from who the is if it's from a saved contact & SMS notification is set to text to speech.
  13. If both sides change temperature, i.e. goes from warm to cool (or the other way) when changing the temperature setting, then they are probably fine. Possible issues: A little low in A/C charge, happened to my MKX and caused the driver side to be noticeably warmer. Most probably this is your issue. HVAC module needs a reset. The DBA, though working, is not functioning to spec.
  14. Mac, nice videos, great as usual. On the exhaust smell issue, Ford does have an issue on the Explorer mainly & to a lesser degree on the Edge/MKX. I had it on my car, it was very clear; A/C on re-circulation, full throttle or hard acceleration (10-20 seconds) and then you start smelling exhaust fumes in the car. Accelerating with the A/C off or with a cracked front window or with A/C on outside air will not cause the smell to come in. I have tested this on open roads with no other traffic to ensure that what I smelled was from MY car as i initially thought it was from others. Ford's issue is that the HVAC actually sucked in the exhaust fumes at a higher rate than acceptable. Even the TSBs for the issue involve reprogramming the HVAC modules in the Explorer & Edge. My guess would be to allow outside air in during hard acceleration. Now I say exhaust smell, because this is what I smell, is it carbon monoxide or not, I don't know. I didn't have a meter, and I will definitely not argue with experts who know better, but it was an annoying issue, and performing the TSB reduced it an acceptable level, just hope the fix lasts.
  15. FS-106 is new to me. When I ordered mine, I ordered FS-104 as per the owners manual & got the plastic covers & even the boxes they came in were FS-104.
  16. The ForScan windows PC version (free) you can use it to change vehicle parameters (as built data), some options would already be shown by default if the programmers already know it. This is their website. Here are some threads about it: http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/index.php?threads/double-honk-disable-enable-with-forscan.449385/ http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/index.php?threads/new-forscan-update-allows-module-programming.442848/
  17. Using ForScan you might be able to turn off the bulb out option. I know I get this option for my MKX, by default it is turned on for the front signals which use normal bulbs & is turned off for the rear signals since the MKX has led taillights.
  18. The new "so called" filters are not actually filters anymore, just a screen. They even use the same part numbers. Posted about them some time ago. I believe in newer models they are now "lifetime".
  19. The parts come with the rails only, but it is expensive, nearly $350/- (per side). 2007-2010 left channel 2007-2010 right channel 20011-2014 left channel 20011-2014 right channel
  20. Akirby, you're right, for front seats with cooling & heating. Those with front heated seats only (SE/SEL and base Titanium/Sport) I believe have the old fashioned heating elements. Also, if equipped, rear heated seats are with heating elements.
  21. Maybe they are working, only not warm enough for the freezing your getting. When there is no ice on them, feel them for heat after a while from turning the rear defrost on. An infrared thermometer would come handy to check. Do the mirrors have the heated mirror symbols on them?
  22. If the dealer is a family friend, just ask them to re-program the Climate Control Module to the latest calibration using the latest IDS release as mentioned above. No need to diagnose unless the issue is still present after the update. Here is post by WWWPerfA_ZNoW with details of a TSB on the same issue.
  23. Did you check the pad clips? Are you sure the noise is from the front? The rears could also cause the noise, especially if the rear caliper piston was not aligned correctly as there are two groves that should align with the notches on the pads.
