Thank you very much. Glad the video helped.

The 6F50 has some rather problematic Turbine Shaft Speed and Output Shaft Speed sensors. The symptoms are described in the video and what to do when you have a total failure of the the sensors. There will be no prewarning lights. However the transmission will demonstrate symptoms that will tell you of the pending failure. If your 2007 through 2010 has more than 60K miles on it you are in the area of failure from that point on. Here is the video.

A friend had an issue with with her AWD and it turned out to be a connector. Most likely the connector is buggered up.

A broken sway bar link will also cause rattles. Sometimes they break but it is not obvious you have to grab them then push and pull.

I personally have determined through multiple mileage intervals that the 50K to 60K mile mark is just about right to change the transmission fluid. Although I would recommend a coolant flush and brake line bleed and change if this has not occurred.

Checked the health of the transmission torque mount after 132,000 miles and still good.

Glad to see it worked out for you.

The 2007 through 2008-2009 had some issues with wheel bearings. My 2011 has 134,000 on the original wheel bearings so i guess Ford figured it out. Oil changes: I change my oil every month and the 2008 I retired had 285,000 miles on it and the engine was showing no wear. Even posted the oil analysis on my youtube channel changing the oil about every 5-6k miles. You do have to spend money to maintain a machine if not you will never like it. Just the way it is.

The chrome peeled right off of the emblem and front grill on my Orange Crush along with the mirrors.

Overall a bunch easier to do than the 3.5.

Still waiting for a 2.0 or 2.7 to show up to the meeting wearing the 300,000 mile badge.

Had to be done since the alternator (motorcraft GL928) with internal voltage regulator failed. No battery light was displayed yet it was not charging the battery or providing sufficient charge. This video will provide you with the information to perform this replacement. Not really as hard as it seems.

Sounds like intermittent communications might perform a grounding test on the wiring and also clean contacts if possible look for rust and corrosion at sensors.
-
Well finally finished the video on the alternator removal and installation. Might be a little bit of blood involved but got it in and everything has been tested now for about 4k miles with no issues.

Yep Guilty as charged. I never rotate until the tires are worn, whichever ones they are get replaced with the new to the rear folks all other go to the front of the bus.
-
I go with Bridgestone Duelers (rated right up there with the scorpians) FWD as noted new tires to the rear if replacing in pairs. AWD confirmed all four at one time.

Another past trouble spot is the crank shaft position sensor. Diagnostic is the best choice. That little part is 20 bucks but a little bit of disassembly to reach it is required.

Have you rebooted the system by disconnecting the neg terminal on the battery? Wait a few minutes then reconnect sometimes this will cure a computer communication issue.

You can get the PCM repaired for less than 300. I understand your issue though. Coils can be obtained for less at Rock auto and the PCM will not need to be reflashed as the PCM repair will have it ready to roll so to speak. It will also recognize your keys since it will be your PCM you get back all programed and ready to go. The replacement is very simple. Few bolts and fasteners in the cowling and done. Again I understand your concerns and frustration but this is a way to get it back up and running and the problem repaired for less cash output.

Car does not recognise keys

I have taken my battery out of my 2011 a few times and never had an issue. The key fob may very well need a new battery, after all it is about 5 years old. -
take it off and then look through it. You should see a grayish white honey comb. If you can not see through it and it is broken with pieces melted or crack and crumbing. It is no longer any good. You might be able to also tell if you hear clinking and rattling sounds from the cat while the engine is running.
