Why have you chosen this method. It is the most difficult. Drain and refill or just have the fluid pumped with a transmission fluid machine (140-150 dollars) and done. Releasing connections always adds an unknown factor. However if you are happiest with doing this.....It is your choice. Not saying it is a wrong way to perform the task, just the most difficult.

Brand New Tires Will not Balance Properly...WHY??
macbwt replied to Dub City's topic in Wheels & Tires
Thanks for the words of encouragement. Wait till you see the next video on what I went through to air up the Bridgestone dueler Ecopia's a couple of them made me feel like I it was the first time I ever mounted a tire. I bet Me, Bob and Rusty used that CHEATA bead sealer on those tires at least a dozen times. Even they were getting frustrated.- 25 replies

I am sure the mfg has a reason but as with the outcome still required less weight and the tire feels great. I wonder if I applied a good heat gun to the plastic if I could just peel if off? OR even a propane torch (tire removed of course) On the roadforce machine. I believe the LT position places more pressure on the tire since it is supposed to have higher pressure. but the machine did ask for the pressure to meet the requirements for testing and once Green lighted tested the tire.

Apparently it is a simple sensor replacement. follow this video.

This tire is sold in all online sites as a CUV/SUV LT category tire, but you are correct it is a P base on a check on the tire sticker. I stand corrected. I doubt the actual balance on the machine would have resulted in any real change in the balancing. Keep in mind the checks on the balance were all conducted in the same manner so to this extent any error would of been a consistent error.

No the duelers are LT tire's. At least all the 2007 thru 2014's use LT tires as the recommended tire not sure what the 15+ is. CORRECTION: The tire is a P rated tire not an LT. Thanks to OMAR for keeping me honest.

Overfilling is not good. When the fluid heats up it expands and has to go somewhere. -

This is what I discovered about how chrome clad wheels are costing the Ford Owners money and damaging tires due to improper balancing from a failed ford design.- 25 replies

This video will show you why your chrome clad wheels are not balancing and why the chrome clad wheels are a poor engineering design by Ford.

How much do your chrome clad wheels cost you and how much damage do they do to your tires due to the poor engineering Ford has chosen. See the video and understand why this is true. Caught it in the act so to speak..

I had to power wash and then blow out the chrome cladding wheel in order to get it to balance. I am also assuming the other wheels are in the same condition just not as serious. FORD your chrome cladding wheels suck dirt an cost people money from a poor engineering design and cause tire wear and money by having to rebalance the tires. Rant over!!

2013 SEL FWD consistent right axle seal leak
macbwt replied to smokeatr164's topic in 2013 Edge & MKX
Dealerships usually have specialists that do certain types of work. You may have the bad luck of getting the same guy making the same mistake over and over. OR there is a physical problem with the opening or the drive axle shaft the seal must be installed into. -

I would recommend contacting Ford Service to see about some attention by them to instill more detail into the dealers addressing the situation. -
Well struts were replaced so I went on to replace the sway bar links. You may notice I have changed my channel name from MAC T to MACTFORDEDGE

Do the 2015 models have low frequency noise dampers on the rear brakes yet? If so the fronts must be the issue.
