  1. Do the EcoBoost engines have the Water Pump installed in a different way?
  2. It is always nice to credit the source of the information. "Cargo Hooks" post.
  3. ForScan doesn't work on all aftermarket cameras. Your purchased Camera is probably not OEM. OEM cameras are very expensive.
  4. ford.owner.site stopped showing any updates for MFT for some time now. The only official way to update it to go to a dealer. Alternatively, you can find the files & download them for other sources. As far as I know, there are no real advantages for V3.10 over V3.8. Here is one source, you'll need the US version.
  5. Fords with BLIS don't come with the convex inserts, as far what I have seen. But it seems that we also got a difference here as my Edge also has the driver side convex mirror, like the passenger side (with BLIS).
  6. It is better to check the version in the settings' system information. Compare the version number to this list.
  7. Doesn't your Edge have MyFord Touch (aka Sync 2)? The discussion here is regarding Sync 3,the newer system that came on 2016+ Edges which is completely different from previous years. If your your still on V2.3 from the old system, then the latest upgrades to the old system do really fix bugs & stability issues.
  8. These maybe? or OEM 2011 Sport Taillights are a bit darker.
  9. On Android, go to Settings > Bluetooth > Sync (or whatever you named you car's connection). There should be check boxes for "Phone Audio", "Contacts" & "Media Audio". If there is a 4th one for "Messages", then make sure to check it. if it is already checked, un-check it & re-check it. If there is no "Messages" then you phone probably does not support the messaging Bluetooth profile that is required for Text message to be displayed on Sync. Edit: Searching quickly online, it seems the LG G4 does not support Bluetooth MAP (Message Access Profile), so it would probably not work to get messages on Sync.
  10. Congratulations, hope you enjoy your ride.
  11. rev-matched downshifts have been on the Edge since 2011.
  12. Highrule, the picture of the upgrade taillight looks to be from a Gen1 Edge (2007-2010). Notice a single bulb for the Turn signal & brake. Your Edge (Gen 1.5, 2011-2014) has separate bulbs for Turn signal & brakes.
  13. Ford recommends 9K or 20K mile PTU Oil change interval in the Middle East / GCC (Hot Climate):
  14. @thomashw If you can link the exact item or seller it would be of great help to others, as there are many sellers now on eBay for non-OEM cameras & at least you tried this one with positive results.
  15. FOAZ-8115-A https://www.tascaparts.com/oem-parts/ford-drain-plug-foaz8115a/?c=Zz1jb29saW5nLXN5c3RlbSZzPXJhZGlhdG9yLWFuZC1jb21wb25lbnRzJmk9TEEwMzAzMDUmcj00JmE9Zm9yZCZvPWVkZ2UmeT0yMDEzJnQ9bGltaXRlZCZlPTMtNWwtdjYtZ2Fz
  16. The 2013+ Fusion is very similar to the 2015+ Edge in this regard.
  17. As I stated in my previous post, the As Built Data is what sets which bulbs act as DRL. My Edge Sport with HID has "10" which means dedicated DRL.
  18. The Bluetooth version can still connect to a laptop, if the laptop has Bluetooth. That how I use mine with a laptop.
  19. The best as far as I know, and currently use, is the OBDLink MX Bluetooth. About $70.00. The best thing about it is that it connects & switches automatically between MS & HS CAN modes and it is wireless, so you can easily connect your Android phone to check on data like Tire Pressure. with iPhones i think you'll need the wifi version. But to make the calibration and any other mods, you'll do it with a Windows PC/Laptop.
  20. I just noticed you're from Oman. For your information, the dealer here in Qatar charged me about QAR 3,200/- (~330 Omani Riyals) for the complete job with OEM evaporator assembly. (that was for my older 2011 MKX) Also, if your going ahead with the job, it would be a good time to change the Spark Plugs & PCV valve as the intake manifold was removed during replacement on my old car.
  21. It is known to have happened before, so double check that it is enabled in the Camera settings. Calibration of the camera, in this case, is simply a software thing that is done to the camera. My guess is it writes some detail from the vehicle to camera itself. In real life, you connect ForScan to the vehicle and click the button to calibrate the camera & after a few seconds it is done. There is no real "calibration work" being done.
  22. From my experience, the "Active" guidelines, which turn with the steering wheel, are only present when when the vehicle is equipped with active park assist (auto park). At least that was the case with the Explorer. Is it is enabled in the camera settings screen in MFT? If it is on, then you need to calibrate the camera. a Dealer can do it, or alternatively, if you a compatible adapter, ForScan can do it. It is a very simple software process. a few minutes worth.
  23. From the 2015+ F150 sheet, there is a line in the BCM that sets the type of headlight, (don't know if it helps): Also, better check if the wiring is the same. I remember a person did something similar to a 2010 Taurus Limited where he installed OEM HID headlights from a Taurus SHO, but at the time he had to make some wiring changes (found the thread). Also, if the wiring is correct (or corrected), you'll need to change the DRL to enable the stock OEM DRL of the new headlights because on HID headlight they are "dedicated" DRL versus "High beam" on the Halogen setup. From the 2G Fusion sheet:
