Does is sound like this.

He has an eye wash station and shower. It was the bic lighter he was using to inspect it with that was rather bothersome. LOL

I have to say one thing that the body shop said they did an alignment on it when they had it. I later discoverd the ball joints on both sides were bad (especially the right side) so this being said. They aligned it with bad ball joints and then I installed a new LCA on the right side and screwed everything up. I will get an alignment at Tires plus for lifetime and then when I do the left side LCA all I have to do is take it back for re-alignment. Right now I need to get the rear shocks replaced. Then align everything and install the new tires.

Is it an Orange Crush? You know the Orange Crush Edges last forever. All the other colors just fade away. LOL

Now every time I change my oil the guy under the car calls out to me. "No gas tank leak yet" LOL

As I suspected today preliminary alignment testing showed some pretty significant toe in on both front wheels. The right rear is also out of alignment. Front due to my replacement of the LCA and the rear is due to failed shock I believe. It could be a bushing in the right rear lower control arm, but will have to try to get the alignments done after the rear shocks are replaced. Got the Bridgestone Ecopias in the garage just have to get time to get this stuff done. I was hoping that since I replace the LCA and did not mess with anything else that I would some how escape having to do an alignment. Guess I will pay for a lifetime alignement that way when I replace parts I can just run over and get it realigned.

Ford? Just guessing.

As much as Ford says they are working on it and saying nothing, I again say lack of info is going to bite them hard. Parking my Orange Crush would most likely kill it. It is not used to just sitting around.

I would approach them on one issue at a time. Mixing multiple issues may not work in your favor. Attack the APIM warranty angle first to get the camera working. Then attack the other issue/s This way they may be more willing to take on your problem if they are working on just one. Sort of like giving them a sense of accomplishment. Overwhelming people with multiple issues tends to make them back off. Just my opinion.

I want to thank all of you who have watched this video and others I have made with MercyGirl. This video is on fire and growing in numbers every hour. Maybe MercyGirl can go to college yet. LOL

I am going to be making the twin to this video with ALL the parts on hand. I will also promote fire safety as I will heat them up first before I give them the ole one two. Just trying to make my life easier. MercyGirl Productions is on board, but has placed stipulations. Contract negotiations are going forward with an agreement soon. LOL

Ah yes. I feel another MercyGirl Production being readied. Placing parts order for two new rear shocks for the Orange Crush, then a full snow tire removal and remounting of the Bridgestone Duelers 422 Ecopia's including balancing. Not that this is something difficult but hey it is a DIY. Oh and off topic video bonus will be can I resurrect the 2004 Trailblazer with multiple misfires. (I think I found the problem and the part that is responsible) Future video to come, 2011 Ford Edge Limited spark plug change out and another LCA (left side) removal and replacement on the Orange Crush. Then just for Akirby's viewing pleasure I will install a K&N air filter in the 2011 in order to achieve astronomical gains in gas mileage and horse power.!!!!!!

This fuel tank issue is growing out of control for Ford if they can not even supply tanks for other model years, not to mention questionable materials and construction failures that apparently are related to all model years Ford edges or at least more than Ford is willing to admit. Pinto revisited? Maybe not that bad but if parts are available for everything else on the Ford Edge and the tanks are not available for multiple model years other than the 2007-2008 years then this indicates a serious design flaw across multiple model years of the Ford Edge and not just the 2007-2008 models years. There will be an expansion of this just wait.

Complain to the Safecar.gov etc. make formal complaints. This vehicle is too new to have this issue. I have a 2004 Trailblazer and it has hardly any rust on the tank and has been in Iowa the whole time.

The body shop had to replace the bulb (brand new) as it burned out within a week of being installed. I will monitor this one. They also had to re-attach the passenger side mud flap as that was what it was doing all the way every day (Flapping). Now I can drive in peace. No issue with gas cap light it serves as a make due night light now. I guess you could say I now have ambiance coloring just like my wifes 2011 does. LOL

I would not worry too much the temp being where it is seems good. I would be more concerned if it were 240 or above then you have problems. 210-220 my trailblazer runs that temp all the time. Then again it is not running right now!!! different issue though. Me: how long has the check engine light been on? Wife: I don't know. A while Me: How long is a while? Wife: This week some time Me: Why didn't you tell me? Wife: I figured you would see it when you drove it.

You have kids? Weird things happen in driveways.
-
No rust on mine. Well, under the Edge I have plenty.

Took the 2008 Edge out today to a Saw Mill to help America's workers stay safe. I think I should of parked a little further from the chipper pile. LOL. Also took it back to the Body shop to get a few tweaks taken care of. Small rattle and marker bulb burned out. Both fixed.

Not really sure which is cheaper to fix new tires or new wheel bearing. I think I will go with the wheel bearing.
-
The new Orange Crush lives! Man oh Man the miles I could put on that Edge.
-
Thanks for the confirmation. I thought I was alone on this. LOL

Getting ready to change the oil next week. Short day drive today (100 miles) for me this is quick trip. A video to show the engine runs great.
