Have you tried a reinitialization procedure? "Start the engine. If sunroof open, then press and hold the glass close switch until the glass is in CLOSED position. Release, repress and hold the glass close switch (for at least 10 seconds). - The glass panel will move toward the front hard-stop and stall. - The shade panels will move toward their front hard-stops, stall, move back a few millimeters, then forward. - After the shade panels have finished moving backward and forward, release the glass close switch. Press and hold the glass close switch. -The glass and shades will fully open together. Then, the glass will close first and then the shades will return to the fully CLOSED position. When the shades have stopped moving, release the glass close switch. Initialization is now complete. Verify successful initialization by carrying out one-touch open, one-touch close, one-touch vent (glass) and one-touch open for the shades. - If roof opening panel does not operate correctly, repeat Steps 2 through 5. NOTE:The glass close switch must be held during the entire initialization process or the sequence will be aborted and the roof will remain in a de-initialized state. Keep objects and body parts clear of the glass panel when carrying out the initialization procedure. During the initialization procedure, the glass panel closes with high force and cannot detect objects in its path". The only way to manually close the Visa Roof is to remove the roof liner and manually pull the cord to shut it.

Water pump, timing chain guides?

Try making a small cardboard baffle (perhas using a empty toilet paper roll) (painted black). Just something temporary to test this hypothesis.

Pull fuse #:51 in the battery fuse panel.

Sounds like its the front brake pad thickness tab. When the pads get too thin, this tab starts to touch the rotating brake rotor, to make you it's time to put on new pads. It only happens when you are NOT braking. Goes away when you step on the brakes.

Have you used a clay bar on it? Really makes a difference before finish. -
Wanted: Halogen Headlight Assemblies for 2011 Edge

I went Chinese replacement headlamp off Ebay on my wife's convertible and it works perfectly. Been a year and no hazing. Fit perfectly. -
It's just +12 volts off the delayed power source. Operates exactly as the radio, once the car is in run, power comes on and stays on until you open a door (or it times out in 20 minutes). On mine it's a radar detector, but it would work perfectly for a camera as well. You can order a specific length and connection plug. (Think I'm running 9" harness with .08" taps, inline fuse and with RJ-11 connector.) Simular to this: MirrorTap MTX Series Radar Detector Power Cord With 2 Amp In-Line Fuse, Military Grade Taps, RJ11,10" Long https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01I1XF4XU/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_tApIzbBZ2FR88 (Beats routing a wire all the way to fuse panel, turns on anf off automatically and easy to remove when you sell).

Almost sounds like there's light spillover from the taillights. Light shinning on the lens may be fooling it into turning down the gain. Could testbthis by fashioning a baffle of sorts to see if that's the problem.

If you suspect that your instrument panel is malfunctioning, you can put it into a diagnostic mode and read any codes stored. It may be different on different models and years, but on my 2009, i enter the diagnostic mode by turning the key off, then hold both the RESET and SETUP buttons and then turn the key to RUN. Instrument cluster starts in Diagnostic Mode. From there you push the SETUP button to cycle through all of the various readings. What your looking for is the CDC screen. Record the codes it recorded and take it to your dealer. (There's a LOT of screens, so don't give up too soon). I believe on those who have the push button start, you push the START button without placing your foot on your brake to enter the run mode.

Channel 17 is Love. Sirius channel guide is Love (Yacht Rockt Radio). http://m.siriusxm.com/programschedules Is it possible that your radio is receiving Sirius and not Sirius XM? -
Buzzing sound from subwoofer when headlights are on
enigma-2 replied to Dieselman's topic in Audio, Backup, Navigation & SYNC
Assuming that your radio system AND headlights are OEM ... Does the buzzing speed up and slow down when press on the accelerator? If so it could indicate that the alternator has a shored diode. If not, try adjusting your interior light rheostat to full maximum. And then all the way to minimum and various settings in between. Does the buzzing change? -
Ford Mytouch/Sync2 Verson 3.5 latest?
enigma-2 replied to hofty's topic in Audio, Backup, Navigation & SYNC
sync versions are custom to specific models and specific equipment. Some versions are designed for professionals who purchase fleet trucks. Installing those versions will not offer you any additional advantage. If sync is telling you that 3.5 is your latest, that is the most you will benifit from. Btw, how did you install 3.2 and get 3.8? Was that typo? -
$80 for OEM or $13 for aftermarket. "You get what you pay for." MacFordEdge wrote in another post that idling and city driving puts more wear on plugs than what you are reading on the odometer. You read 104k, the plugs may actually be closer to 124k. He also wrote that changing only one coil is ok. But consider that they all may have been overheated. (Plugs with wide gaps require more current to fire. More current, more heat). Really comes down to how long you intend to keep the car. ("Pay me now or pay me later").

I'm only guessing, but that it happens ever so often, I would be looking at low light. The most obvious reason why this would happen at one time but not another is the lens is dirty. Grim, dirt and oil will reduce the amount of light entering the camera. (Less light = grainer image). You would not notice any problems in daylight as the camera is low lux and the there's more than enough light to get above the noise threshold. First try cleaning the lens. You could provide more light by switching the license plate and/or backup lights with high output LEDs.

Really, really nice. Also have the platinum white, you will discover the real beauty of the color in the sunlight. White but also suttle hues of other colors that seem to shimmer. Now is also a good time to think about things like floor mats to protect the carpet, before it gets stained. (I like weathertech).

I pull power from the rear view mirror. It switches on when the ignition is in run, off when turned off (power remains on until door is opened, just like radio). For the wiring I use a harness made by Mirror Tap. http://www.mirrortap.com/ford.html You simply push the two connectors into the connector socket along side the existing wires. And then use a supplied wire tie to provide strain relief on the harness. Takes only a few minutes. You could call them (888) 497-8388 m-f 7:30 - 4:39 pst and they can walk you through which harness would work with your Edge and camera combo. Also which pins to use in the mirror connector for (+) and (-). (Your connector wires will be different than my 09). Anyway, easiest and quickest way to power a radar detector or camera.

One of my cargo knobs loose
enigma-2 replied to srrgolf's topic in Cargo, Hauling, Roof Racks & Towing
Sounds like the attachment points for cargo bay accessories. I use mine for a second net. If I'm not mistaken, this knob is screwed on from behind. Probably the screw simply came loose. Try pulling (gently) to put tension on the screw head, to prevent it from turning. Then while holding it in tension, turn the knob to tighten it to the screw. Turns clockwise (lefty loosey, righty tighty). -

Just out of curiosity, how do you do this? I've got Forscan and all I seem to be able to do is read the codes.
