  1. Your car came with coolant specification WSS-M97B55-A. Any coolant which meets this specification - on the bottle label - will work. I believe that Zerex Asian meets this specification. BTW, have you called your local Ford dealer to see if they carry the Dark Green?
  2. Man after my own heart. Besides, they don't have the Lincoln emblem so its a mute point for me.
  3. https://www.maicei.com/?4D-Car-Logo-Badge-LED-Light✨-p595735.html?pp=0&epik=dj0yJnU9c2I5TTNiT1U0Um1HZ2p5TU0tbXgzVDQ0TTNmTmpGQ0gmcD0xJm49TU5leEpwejZyd29kcmNaaFpXQXVkZyZ0PUFBQUFBR0dRSDhJ
  4. I'd be concerned as to where the trash in the fan came from. The air flow is taken from the underside of the cowling in the engine compartment, through a filter (of sorts) through the cabin air filter and into the fan. So where's the junk coming from. Wouldn't take much junk to stop a fan. From your description, I'd guess the fan rotor is rubbing on the fan shroud. After a while it frees enough to spin. Pull the fan again and make certain the fan rotor clears the housing. If not, try pull it up a little. The other possibility is the fan itself is seizing in the fan bearings. Try a little oil in the bearings (worked for me, two years now).
  5. Local dealer told me the chips are going to F150's and Mustangs. Ford contracted with Microsoft and Intel for chips, but takes months to produce a chip (think he said 7-8 weeks). Taiwan still behind.
  6. For those in locations where the dealers don't/won't change the PTU fluid, try a location transmission shop. Just tell them you want Motorcraft fluid and you'll buy and bring as most don't stock. At least they have to equipment to get it up on hoist and pump it out.
  7. Believe this is the link @1004ron meant for you to read. Basically you go in from the grill with a large screwdriver.
  8. OEM comes to mind. Had to replace one wheel for my 09 MKX. Dealer quoted $700 something, haggled and got it for $300 something, just over dealer price. Making a sale at little profit is always better that no sale at no profit.
  9. Glad this worked out for you. Any problems with the seat controls? (Passenger control are on right. In drivers position they should be next to consul).
  10. You said you're looking at the B8. Are you installing new springs? (B6 use the OEM springs, B8 are for use with lowered suspension). Either will cause a harsher ride. According to Summit Racing, the Bilstein B6 p/n is 24-252126, and the Bilstein B8 p/n is 24-252157. (But you'll need new springs.) That's fir a 2019 Ford Fusion, no brakedown for sport or ST. Could give them a call at 800-230-3030 (8 am - midnight est) and ask. https://www.summitracing.com/search/brand/bilstein/part-type/shocks-and-struts/year/2019/make/ford/model/fusion
  11. WWWPerfA_ZN0W mentioned wheel bearings. One way to test this is to decelerate from 40 and swerve from side to side. This unloads the bearing on the side opposite the swerve and may notice the whine get louder of softer.
  12. Are you thinking of the bracket at the bottom of the strut? That part is permanently connected to the strut. The strut is bolted through this connection to the steering knucke. If its broken, you'll need to replace the strut. (In pairs). There are dozens of aftermarket struts available. Most will give you a much harsher ride. If you intend to keep the car, I'd recommend Motorcraft. Cost a little more be dependable quality. If its the actual steering knuckle ($65) here: https://www.partsgeek.com/catalog/2007/ford/edge/driveshaft_-ar-_axle/suspension_knuckle.html?rp=steering_knuckle
  13. Genius. If the image is upside down, turn the camera upside down, turning the image right side up. I can see a TSB in the making .....
  14. Scotty's opinion. Consumer Reports ChrisFix Dyno testing by Shell oil company (~4% higher cylinder pressure due to ignition timing). Graphs, explanations. Crypto (reg vs prem with tune) Oh, oh, wife yelling. Gotta take the trash out. Enjoy the videos.
  15. Ummm, I would have thought that the Canadian Car and Truck Institute Laboratory would have been ably to run a simple dynamic test. Especially when the their representative had 20 years experience. Can't trust anybody anymore.
  16. Just curious, did you buy them for practical (smoking, etc.) or aesthetic reasons? Do you like them?
  17. There are dozens of YouTube videos discussing the comparison of regular vs. premium. This video is about average, the test the same car in a major, Canadian testing laboratory changing only the gas used. As expected, the milage is the same (compensated by the PCM) and shows premium has slightly higher pollutants (slightly higher amount of unburnt hydrocarbons). Premium really only makes sense in very hot, dry areas (desert where the air isn't very dense) or towing heavy loads. Otherwise it's just an extra $10 per fillup down the drain.
  18. When they replaced the rear end, did they replace all of it or reuse parts, such as bearings, etc.?
  19. Does it still do it when decelerating from 40 mph with the transmission in neutral?
  20. https://www.knowyourparts.com/technical-resources/drive-train/diagnosing-differential-noise/#:~:text=A “whirring” noise while decelerating, bad ring and Pinion gear.
  21. This is the recall you're probably thinking of https://www.mcdavidford.com/door-latch-recall.htm Theres no recall on the switch failure that I'm aware of. Youtube has videos showing how to replace it yourself.
  22. I had my 2009 mkx replaced in 2018 (under extended warranty). There is no recall that I'm aware of. It's probably not the case that leaking but the rear seal. (I had the seal replaced in 2015).
