Kona Blue was offered from 2010 - 2012 on several Ford & Lincoln vehicles. It returned in 2015 - 2020 for certain Ford models. The paint code "L6 M7188" has never changed throughout its availability. It's my favourite colour.

Redline MTL is the only fluid that my Mustang transmission sees. I once made the mistake of doing a drain and fill using the Amsoil equivalent and that didn't work out too well. That transmission permanently resides under my workbench now. Redline lubricants are all I use for transmission, differential (and eventually PTU) requirements.

I did it now! Team RXP 2020 dual catch can kit
handfiler replied to DrivingofftheEdge's topic in 2.0L EcoBoost
I'm at a loss to explain why you're not finding anything collecting in can. It just doesn't make sense. -
Unless you're wide of girth with minimal working space to contort yourself into an ideal position and the hot oil that your attempting to regulate is finding its way down your arm.....?

I did it now! Team RXP 2020 dual catch can kit
handfiler replied to DrivingofftheEdge's topic in 2.0L EcoBoost
I'm not following the logic. If your trying to collect and condense oil vapour why is location important? As examples, my Mustang has a positive displacement supercharger and the engine compartment temperatures are extreme and yet the firewall mounted catch can has no issue collecting condensed oil. On my Lincoln its mounted very close to the motor and it also collects a normal amount of oil. The warmer the better, that way your not collecting water vapour and turning the contents into an emulsive sludge. -
It has an under body cover but the oil pan area is open for easy access to the drain plug. I added a quick drain valve to make oil changes a little cleaner/simpler. The factory drain plug is rather large in diameter and will drain the oil pan in a few seconds and can result in more oil on the floor than in the collection pan if your not mindful.

Sketch up a schematic of your plumbing and send it to Team RXP for commentary. Something is obviously amiss. Personally I'd be reluctant to use such a complex system on my cars. It all seems good in theory but those check valves scare me. They are required on a 3 port can but if they ever fail they can cause problems. -
The oil pan has a restrictor orifice that prevents the extractor feed tube from getting past it to the reach the bottom of the oil pan. I bought an extractor with great expectations only to be directed towards this thread:

I bought a kit similar to this in preparation for the supercharger installation on my Mustang. Vacuum Cooling System Filler Kit I'm glad I did as it made the refill process of the cooling and intercooler systems a breeze. It's nice knowing your system will be 100% filled and purged of all air in minutes without having to start the vehicle. ?

Glad I'm not relying on my Nautilus or an Edge ST or a 2015 Sport with 93 LMS tune as some form of adrenalin rush because they're all at the ZZZQuil level on the excitement scale.

I'm so glad you got the fastest Edge of all time too. Now go spread the news to the rest of the world.

It has that designed by committee look to me. Nothing flows. The upcoming Nautilus interior looks awful as well.

Question about floor mats / SYNC 3
handfiler replied to gwbmcse's topic in Audio, Backup, Navigation & SYNC
I'm pretty sure the OP was referring to floor mats. Those look like winter floor liners. -
1971 Volkswagen Squareback?

If you can find a 235 width snow tire close to the same diameter you are definitely better off going slightly narrower. Just look at the load rating of the tires you are considering. You will find that 235's can handle the weight of the Edge and then some.

Mobil 1 no longer meeting Ford spec WSS-M2C930-A?!
handfiler replied to Edgingage's topic in 2011 Edge & MKX
Probably because Ford specification WSS-M2C930-A was superseded by WSS-M2C961-A1 -

They're all Canada imports. -
Hi SeanR I have a Nautilus as well and also like to tinker. Mine is stock other than a custom catch can. My tinkering is confined to my other car. Catch Can

Will the Tuning For the Edge ST work for a Nautilus 2.7
handfiler replied to SeanR's topic in 2.7L EcoBoost
None of the tuners have unlocked the PCM yet. Livernois has no interest in doing so. Torrie at Unleashed Tuning will work with you if you can upload the tune file to them. You'll need an HP Tuners interface and software to do that. I gave it some thought but in the end I didn't want to mess with the warranty. Its quick enough for a grocery getter. Skip the Race Chip Route. -
Oil filter K&N PS-7037 vs HP-7037 vs Motorcraft FL-2062
handfiler replied to 1004ron's topic in 2.7L EcoBoost
When it comes to oil filters and the factory warranty I prefer to use the factory filter. Visually, the factory filter media appears to be moulded deeper into the end cap. It might not be but it looks like a more robust design.
