RDS is the radio information that is displayed on some FM radio stations.

I don't get RDS (Radio Data System) information on the instrument cluster's right screen. RDS only shows on the 8" center display. Is that normal or do US Edges get RDS in the instrument cluster like the older Gen1.5?

It would be the evaporator, that is inside the vehicle behind the dashboard. The complete dashboard will need to be removed to change the evaporator. OEM part only comes as a complete assembly, about $380. Evaporator only you can go aftermarket about $60-$80. But because you have to remove complete dashboard, I would highly recommend OEM to make sure you don't need to replace anything else soon.

Ford used to market the Escape & Explorer as SUV vehicles while the Edge as a crossover. So it seems Ford ration is that SUVs need Tow hooks while crossovers don't.

You have H11 low beams & 9005 high beams. The same high beam bulbs are used as DRLs at a reduced voltage. My suggestion, go for normal H9 bulbs to replace the H11 low beams, they will fit and are considerably brighter but have a shorter life. Though any upgraded bulb will also have a shorter life. For the high beams, look for HIR 9011 bulbs. These 2 bulbs require very minimal modifications to fit & will improve your lights at the least cost.

Keys213, the reply is clear stating that the images they received are very small, so they made a standard reply. My feeling is that the dealer is not presenting the case correctly. Maybe they have even installed the older version taillights.

Just talking about Tow Hook, the export Edge 2106+ in our case have the small cap on the front bumper & a hook in the super tire area for use when needed. The 2011+ Explorers have it, but since 2016 it is only present for AWD models.

I noticed your engine compartment has side seals for the hood to fender area. I remember my old 2011 MKX didn't have them. Checking now it seems they were added only to the Edge (not MKX) in 2012 or 2013. Interesting change, must have an effect. Not read of any discussion on this issue. If you gave a black interior then this might be the reason, the light will not look as bright on black surfaces. I'd suggest you check another Edge (2015-2018) with same interior color, if it's brighter, then bring up the issue to you dealer.

So, looking around I noticed 2 things: Under the hood, at the cowl, just infront of the hood to cowl weatherstrip, there are two pieces of hard foam/insulation, one on each side, they same to make a case for supporting the hood, but at the same time kind off reduces the contact pressure between the hood the full weatherstrip. Also looking for online photos, not all Edges have them. There is a weatherstrip making a U-shape under the vista glass, starts from one side under the rear glass & goes all the way around the front then back to the other side. What is strange about it is that it does NOT touch the glass. If that is correct I'd guess it is there for looks and/or air barrier. I think this is the part.

Thanks enigma, thought about that, but the Edge's 20" & 21" wheels are completely different designs. Tire wise, since they have different models, they have the same weight (34 lbs). The 21" tire in the Edge's size should be heavier, but the Perelli Scorpion Verde All Season 21" actually ways the same as the Hankook Ventus S1 Nobble2 20". The Pirrelli in 20" weighs 32 lbs.

Out of curiosity, anyone weighed the Sport 20" & 21" wheels/tires? Are the 21" heavier?

I'd say the best way to be sure is to check the Edge you want your self. I believe the drain plug is only on Sport models, but not sure. Still, the PTU oil can still be changed even without a drain plug.

So they are dim with parking light on & flash brighter when the signals are turned on with parking? Do you thing they are as bright as the stocks or brighter? My experience with LED signal bulbs (Zevos) was not good, they were dimmer than stock and not good in day time. Can you post the link to the ones you had? Thanks.

Jason, how do the park lights work at night? Are they dimmer than the signals? Also, when the signal is turned on, does it flash on-off at night? Or changes brightness (bright-dim)? I am asking because I noticed that the stock bulb is a single filament, and in stock form, the park/signal brightness is controlled by changing the supplied voltage (or something like that), so was wondering if with LEDs it works fine or not.
