  1. Did it work for you? The IPC will not show the setting for me. It does show Auto Fold in case I changed the value to F. But Mirror Tilt doesn't show in any case. Also, after making the DDM & PDM changes, the Tilt works, but after a while (maybe an ignition cycle) the mirrors wouldn't tilt, checking the values for PDM/DDM shows that the set values are still correct.
  2. Mikula, you might want to research the SHO AWD system. I remember a similar issue being reported & it varied between being normal to a failure in the rear drive/clutch pack. Note the the PTU sends power to the rear all the time (like a differential), but there is a clutch pack that determines how much to send.
  3. Because, here, if an AWD vehicle cannot go on sand it would NOT sell!
  4. This is what Ford has to say about the PTU oil for Middle East (GCC) spec AWD Edge/MKX & even 2.0L Escapes:
  5. Congratulations on your new ride. Hope you enjoy it to the fullest.
  6. You could try to update the MFT again and see if it gets it back, otherwise a dealer visit might be required or get into ForScan & As Built Data to figure it out. But as far as I know, that feature is really of no real benefit. It is not like its going to report problems the Check Engine light doesn't show.
  7. Thanks. I am fine. THANKS. The accident was simple, just a small shock from the hit, I was alone in the MKX at the time. It is because the rear fender is not easily replaceable I opted not ti get it fixed (OCD).
  8. Well, after nearly 6 years of use & ~77k miles, I have sold my 2011 Kona Blue MKX. My car was hit in February & I decided to take the compensation & sell it off. it was not a bad deal. So Good by to my MKX. And.. I got a good deal on a 2016 Edge Sport, new unsold stock. It has every thing, including the 21" wheels & vista roof which I would have rather not had, but that is the only configuration we got. Still getting used to it. It is also in Kona Blue, like my MKX. Among the first things I found, being a Middle East spec with a supplement to the Owners Manual (yes I do read the Manual), is this: Makes me think I would have been able to blame Ford for the broken Vista clips on the MKX as they now realize that the Vista roof requires periodical maintenance (cleaning) which was not specified before nor done when carrying out the maintenance as per their recommendations at their dealer!!. Some photos of the MKX's accident:
  9. With the 2011 MKX, I tried several makes and also with/without charcoal, in all cases the airflow was affected except with K&N's. This is tested using my sense of feeling & sound of blower/airflow. In other words, nothing scientific. But good catch WWWPerfA_ZN0W noticing the difference in pleats.
  10. Here is the Towing Guide: https://www.ford.com/resources/ford/general/pdf/towingguides/15rvtt_ford_edge_r1.pdf
  11. Do the rear windows open/close with the Global open/close? I see them as Enabled in your sheet. Nice work documenting every MOD like this.
  12. I agree it is not good. But I think it is from the Maps provider(s) not Ford. And it probably is their last chance to get some money due to Google & Apple providing free Maps with Android Auto & Apple Car Play.
  13. For the front & rear turn signals, you need to do some edits using ForScan to be able to use LED bulbs without resistors. All other bulbs work fine with LED.
  14. If it is the ignition button that is not working, after idling for 45 minutes without any action (door open/close or driving) the engine should shut off.
  15. You will still not have a true dual exhaust, why would you go the more expensive way? I'd just repair it.
  16. You can see the location of the Radar for the Adaptive Cruise Control in the owners manual "Blocked Sensor". It is at the bottom as roots57 stated, net to the signature lighting.
  17. Check the link for the used ones at Ford dealerships if it works, try copying the link & change the VIN.
  18. The 2011 does not have a button to disable courtesy lamps with the door(s) open. Do all the lights not light up with an open door? Even the rear cargo light? If yes, then it is either a fuse or maybe dark mode was enabled. Dark Mode is a setting in the body control module to do just that, but it needs a dealer to program it or using a PC and a software called ForScan with a compatible adapter. Now, if only the front lights do not work while the rear/cargo do work, then it might be a disconnected wire in the overhead console (behind the lights).
  19. Don't the emergency brakes use the brake shoes inside the rear disc/drum and hence would not have an effect on the calipers? Edit: My mistake, it doesn't as clarified by WWWPerfA_ZN0W below.
  20. I assume you have MyFord Touch, this is a bug, the system restarts every about 20 hours of operation and that's when the screen dimming reverts to default. You can also touch Day or Night then go back to auto. This bug also affects the phone ringer & message tones when selecting anything other than the default. Tones will revert to default. For the other issue, I don't recall reading about it. Try a battery disconnect to reset the electronics.
  21. What I did to close it, get some one to help, preferably 2 persons. Open the vista roof slightly (~1" movement) to get the track back behind or at their original position relative to the glass, then press the button to close the glass while the two helpers each pushing the glass from outside, one from each side till the glass closes.
  22. Also might want to check that the notches on the back of the pads and caliper surface groves are aligned correctly.
  23. As far as I know, only the Sport model has ANC it. It is also probably only for engine noise, to cancel out unwanted noises (frequencies) & to keep the better parts. Compared to the Escape, yes, the Edge is definitely quieter than the Escape, mostly due to the platform itself.
