Purge valve should hold about 20-22 inch water when measured with a vacuum gauge. I changed my purge valves out with one reading 7 inch water and the other was I believe at about 11 inch water. Figured I dodged the bullet by changing them.

Check the purge valve for vacuum.

Brakes need to be bled. You have air in the lines. -

This might be why the adaptive steering is having problems. http://www.usatoday.com/story/money/cars/2014/11/28/ford-takata-adaptive-steering/70077402/

Several forum members have removed the brake booster and installed the new one. Keep in mind the brake switch is more often than not damaged during the removal/installation process. Better to buy the brake switch and have it on hand than to not have it. The booster comes out from the top, but several other components have to be removed. Removing the Intake manifold and throttle body will provide much more room to perform the repair.

It does not make a difference. I have a filter minder installed on my 2011 Ford Edge and the AEM dry air filter. This filter has never been changed and has 80,000 miles on the air filter. The filter minder notes when the air flow begins to become restricted and has visual indications of the amount of vacuum the system is pulling due to any restrictions. I am in the Yellow section right now and have not popped into the red yet. The MAF readings are 4.5 -5.0 on the highway at 75-80 mph continuously. I monitor the MAF air flow using a Forscan app and nothing has changed. Still plenty of air compared to others that monitor their MAF. When will the Filter minder tell me to clean the filter I do not know but assume it will some day and I will grab data to prove when it does. My MPG's over 14,500 miles were 22.1 mpg.

How is it shifting? Transmission working like it is supposed to? Time to check engine and codes must be a code that will show when checked.

Oil pressure switch leak(s) have been showing up on the older Edge's. Seems there is a new repair as the Edge ages. Pretty simple repair and from what I see not all that difficult to reach and replace. Plus it is near the oil filter area.
-
Battery check needed. The Edge likes it's juice and when it goes low it reacts very crazy. Note: a battery saver notice should not be ignored. Check your charging system also to ensure the alternator is operating correctly.

Edge 2.0L EcoBoost or 3.5L V6 for towing ?
macbwt replied to Deac's topic in Cargo, Hauling, Roof Racks & Towing
I will say the Turbo has an advantage at higher elevations. Lower down I would stick with the 3.5 for the towing as the 3.5 would most likely get better mpg's towing compared to the turbo which would suck the gas IMO- 9 replies

Seems like the condenser was damaged and it is leaking. You can replace it yourself but if you have never worked on AC and do not have the vacuum pump and oil with Freon etc. along with knowing about high and low side lines etc. Then you may want to take it to a garage you can do some work yourself like replacing the condenser to save some $$$$

I think in replace tires about once a year it seems. I however look at new tires when they hit 4/32nds or if they develop wear issues or start running rough. No time for tires that lose their feel and start having issues. Besides I hate hydroplaning.
