  1. Just double tap the S button instead.
  2. There are numerous vehicles with minimal gear selection and no paddle shifters, including electric vehicles that don't have a transmission, your complaint is going to go no where.
  3. yep every day, been waiting for a fix.
  4. Looks so much better, especially without the kink!?
  5. It's not so much the rim size when it comes to winter traction. Going with a smaller rim size in winter helps with ride quality and the tire can take more abuse, because of a larger sidewall and so can the rim, smaller diameter is less likely to bend or break due to the tire being able to absorb the impact of the ruts, heaves, etc caused by winter and packed snow. When it comes to traction in winter it's the width of the tire that matters. A narrower tire puts more weight on the contact patch of the tire to the road. On ice this increases traction. It also helps going through snow. A narrower tire will cut more through snow than a wider tire that may float more on top of the snow, decreasing traction. Winter tires multiply this effect with sipes for gripping ice and a lug meant for cutting through snow. Just make sure the tire is a similar height as the factory size if you go narrower or your speedo will be out.
  6. This ^^ Modern cars can be bad if the ground clearance is not enough, but otherwise if it sucks it is because of the wrong tire for your conditions. Also hear the argument "I've always run all-seasons." Not all tires are created equal so unless you are running the exact same tire as your previous cars you can't compare. I find the edge great in winter, but I also found my 97 camaro quite capable way back when I used to drive it in winter, along with any other car I owned. They all ran winter tires though and granted the edge has been the most capable.
  7. It's also possible your alternator is getting weak and not adequately charging your battery. I'd test it while you are there too.
  8. Go to this site, download the latest sync software and it should go away. Otherwise turn off auto updates. https://owner.ford.com/tools/account/how-tos/keep-your-sync-up-to-date.html
  9. Try checking the wrecking yards there have been more than a few edges sold from 2015-18 with the 2.0l. A stock air box from an SE to Titanium with a 2.0L should work fine, if you hadn't considered it.
  10. Looking at your pic you've got a black tube running off to the left off the intake, someone can confirm what it is and if I'm wrong, but that massive 90 degree kink doesn't seem right and could be the culprit.
  11. It shouldn't affect mileage much at all. How many miles are on the vehicle?

Having to accelerate does kill mileage bad with this motor. City mileage is low but highway mileage is great. I did a 2000 km drive, 1000 each way, I got 32 mpg one way and 28 the other. So I know all my poor mpg I have talked about is driving conditions.
  13. I just don't get what the big deal is. I can count on one hand the amount of times I've used a horn in a vehicle in 23 years of driving.
  14. To add to everyone else, one thing people don't realize is halogen bulbs dim over time so even though they aren't burned out doesn't mean they are any good. Depending on how old the bulbs are they could be putting out less than half the light they put out when new. So even a new set of bulbs might be all that is called for to make you happy.
  15. Ya I'm not sure what tips would look best on an St. It definitely is one of its design down falls. Maybe a quad oval like some IS-F setups or a group of 4 on each side with the bottom pair shifted slightly over from the top pair of tips, granted this would give 4 smaller tips but maybe it would look ok. It's the only thing I can imagine maybe looking right but I suck at Photoshop to even try and mock any of it up.
  16. I think they did it for ease of assembly and cost cutting. No aligning of tips needed. Mount the fake tips to the bump, line up exit pipes some what and done. I also think the exit pipes sticking through would look silly.

It's not that uncommon. Most factory tunes are tuned rich(with conservative timing and such), a lot of aftermarket tunes lean it out which makes more power and better mileage.
  18. Likely emissions standards.
  19. How much do you pay for that? Not that I want them do do all that, I like to maintain my own vehicles but I don't know a dealer that will scan codes for less than $100 on top of anything else they have to do.
  20. On hot days especially it takes time for it to cool down the venting the air runs through before it starts to feel close to the front air temp. There is also a chance that some of the drivetrain is warming it up some. Also If you have dual zone on the temp seems to be controlled by the passenger side.
  21. Great! Now I'll ask the usual question...what gains are they getting from a stock ST? ? Unless I missed it I haven't seen anything posted, looked on site too. Seen your results on your sport and they look good but far from stock.
  22. As in inside up to the shifter? Unless you are in a negative equity or are unable to replace it with insurance writing it off, there is no way I would keep it. It is almost impossible to dry out a car without stripping it. All the underlay, foam and sound deadening can hold water for a long time and there is a huge chance of mold. Then there is all the wiring and such that has been exposed to water. There is a reason insurance companies just write off these kinds of things.
  23. That's technical a different engine. In the years the F150 had the same engine as us, gen 1, it made 375ft-lbs. Now the f150 has the gen 2 which makes more and we still have the gen 1.
  24. Betting they mean by an amp they can replace or is it off the "head unit". To that I can't answer but I would bet it's off some sort of amp. Not sure where it would be located if it is though.
  25. From reading the forum. Members like Sage and others above are on the 3rd revision. The ST has only been available to drive for about 7 months due to all the delays and stuff. So being on a 3rd revision over that amount of time seems reasonable to me. You can't test a tune for reliability by just slapping it on the dyno and saying yeah! We made more power send it out. They have thier test mule/clients willing to take the risk as Guinea pigs like all companies. If you want to be one, contact them and risk blowing things up for the rest of us. ? I wasn't on the forum to see how long it took took them to get the results out of the sport they did but would be surprised if it happened in 2015.
