  1. Thanks for the feedback. Now that you mentioned it was sitting outside, my Edge's driver seat-belt seems to be affected if it was heat soaked. Though it does not fully lock, only locks a couple times while trying to buckle up (have to retract it a bit then re-pull). Other than when being heat soaked, it works fine.
  2. When going through ForScan mods and settings, which are based on "As Built Data", you have settings for tire sizes. So each Edge with Factory 21", 20" or 18" will have different "As Built Data". There has to be another effect, not just the speedometer reading.
  3. P206 seems to indicate a fault with the #6 injector. Found this post about it. Others will probably give you better answers than me. P0216 is for Injection Timing Control Circuit Malfunction. Seems the misfiring is just a symptom of the injector problem.
  4. Might want to share what are the codes you are getting. Could help in helping diagnose the problem.
  5. I cannot answer for #2. But for the battery, new cars have smart charging systems where it would stop charging the battery if system detects battery is charged enough (or some other criteria, not exactly sure). So seeing voltage changes is not an indication of a bad alternator.
  6. I'd be interested, if someone can help in finding an instrument cluster in Km/h. Couldn't find one.
  7. For the most part, most cars with Automatic transmissions did not have manual control foe gear ratios. Furthermore, with newer small displacement engines (usually Turbocharged), engine braking is weak compared to older, bigger engines. With my Sport (2.7 EcoBoost) engine braking is considerably weaker than my previous MKX with the 3.7L. And those are nothing compared to the 4.6L v8 in the 1996 Grand Marquis we had before that.
  8. It is most likely the blend door actuator.
  9. You don't have to hold the button. Just press & release. Also, if you're familiar with the commands, you can switch voice commands to advanced which will skip most of the talk back you get from the system. Then, pressing the voice commands button the 1st button will give you beep & then you can say the command.
  10. I think it is because goes through a longer duct that is not straight & goes around the center console storage area, so it probably gets warmer on the way. The center console storage (under the armrest) even feels cold after a while. Maybe insulating the duct inside the center console will help.
  11. Try to lower the seat belt shoulder anchor to get it to retract a bit. Another thing to try is a sudden brake from like 5 mph.
  12. Traction control prevents wheel spin. There is also Stability Control which helps prevent skids. Stability Control cannot be turned off and when it is working to try to prevent a skid a light comes on. Probably that is what you were getting.
  13. Under vehicle info I got a "CODE" & "SW" and sent them to Livernois. For the stock tune, after connecting the tuner to the PC, did you run the MyCalibrator software (app) on the PC? After running it (opening it) it should connect automatically to the tuner and send the stock tune. The App's information will show you a dialogue of what's going on, if I recall correctly.
  14. OP, maybe the car has an aftermarket anti-theft system installed? Did you get it new or used?
  15. It is most probably a direct fit (the parts before & after the sill seem to be the same for 2015-2019 models). But I recall the "Ford Performance" door sills being NOT illuminated. Edit: Found a closer image in this link.
  16. You also need to consider the Transmission shift firmness. There is the standard Livernois and there is "Softer". For me both were harsh and felt like I am breaking my transmission and I then requested for "stock" shifts. You don't have to ask for all 4 at the same time. Maybe you can try one or two and then request what might feel best.
  17. It is a good idea to get an OBD2 adapter compatible with ForScan (with HS-CAN & MS-CAN) as ForScan would be able to read the DTCs from the HVAC module to help diagnose better.
  18. I found the attached Quick Release Coupling.pdf . Maybe it will help. Sorry can't help more.
  19. The 2015-2018 Edge has the same torque specs. Owner's Manual.
  20. Seeing that the liftgates are different, the answer is no.
  21. Ford does have a history of under rating some Engines for unknown (to us/me) reasons. The same transverse 2.7L 6F55 combo has been available on the MKX since 2016 on 335hp/380lb.ft rating & Fusion since 2017 with 325hp/380lb.ft . The same 6F55 transmission has been used with the 3.0L MKZ/Continental with 400/400 hp-lb.ft (and heavier curb weight on the continental).
  22. 1. Are you sure you have rear parking sensors? They are not standard on the SE. The cross traffic sensors are not the same units, those are standard on all 2019 Edge models. 2. Maybe there is no update! I don't recall there being a lot of support or updates for the base infotainment system (with the smaller 4" screen). 3. If it is working, good. Why complain. Want to turn it off, please do so. Finally, if someone on the forum can really answer you question, they would. No need to go private messaging people to answer your "long" first post which was posted twice!!
  23. Yes. On the Edge the shade has to open fully before the glass part will move or tilt.
  24. 2019 models started getting LED headlights. Older models got HID. In any case, both are better than halogens.
  25. Your profile shows your Edge's year as 2007, but the pictures seem to be for a 2011-2014 model. Which is correct? You can also search online parts stores, like this.
