  1. For the 2015-2018 models with factory HID, the projector for the low beam (outer lights) has a shield that opens and closes for Low/High beam operation. Bi-Xenon is the more common name. In the inner lights there is an H15 bulb that is only wired for the DRL part. I came to know that the H15 bulb is a dual filament bulb designed for DRL and High beam operation, but the Edge only utilities the DRL part.
  2. Anyone has news if there is any updated tune for the 2015-2018 Sport or is the V3 the last? I have sent LMS a request for update but still no answer. Also I asked if we can get the "Manual" mode disable by holding the "+" paddle for a few seconds like the newer models and current gear indicator in auto mode. Another thing I asked them, though got negative answer previously, is if it is possible to prevent 6th gear lockout in "Sport" mode as it really kills fuel economy or I have to keep shifting between "D" and "S" frequently.
  3. replied to your other post on this. Edit: Duplicate posts Merged.
  4. Take it to the dealer? Since it is a 2017 I'd assume it is still under warranty. I had a similar issue in my previous vehicle, 2011 MKX, that some wind leaking noise come from the driver's side. Couldn't figure it out for several years until I took a chance and changed the driver's door window channel that finally fixed it because when pushing out on the window reduced the sound.
  5. @Gadgetjq For for sharing. But like what @2FAST4U stated, even my 2016 had this from the factory, but I guess this is because I have factory HID and factory enabled DRL. Never the less, it is still very useful for those who don't have enabled from the factory. I have a suggestion/comment, instead using your Highbeams as DRLs and losing power with LEDs their, why not use the turn signals as your DRL? you already have switchbacks, so they will be white anyway.
  6. The seat bottom controller can be used to raise/lower the whole seat or raise/lower the front part only. Try lowering the front part only by adjusting the front edge of the controller. Also if you have the 10-way seats you can raise the back part of the seat.
  7. Welcome to the forums. Nice review. For hilly driving, did you try to put it in Sport? Press the S button in the shifter dial, it should hold gears more and even downshift as you brake. For the exhaust smell, turn on the circulate button so it doesn't get outside smells in. Also the HVAC would operate more effectively.
  8. Hope it goes well. Keep us updated. I am really bored with stock cluster, been seeing it since 2012 and I hate the useless way the information displays are devided. With the round tacometer you can't get any other vehicle information.
  9. Open the drawer then pull up on the drawer to unclip the bottom clips then pull the drawer back to unclip the uppers.
  10. Seeing that the new Explorer and Escape both come with a fully digital cluster, I'd expect them to have the same hardware. So a Ford graphics firmware would be easy. I remember reading somewhere that these new gauges work differently. But not sure. Following several forums across different Ford models gets me mixed-up. Your project is very interesting because I wouldn't have to worry about units as I was not able to source a good Km/h guage for my Edge.
  11. One of the main changes to the 2nd gen EcoBoost V6 is adding port injection with direct injection. The 2020 Edge ST specifications still show direct injection only. The F-150 EcoBoost specifications shows PFI+DI (Port Fuel Injection + Direct Injection).
  12. That's the F-150 version. Nothing was mentioned regarding the Edge's 2.7. All information indicate it is still the same engine since 2015, except for a slight power increase in 2019 which matches the 2016-2018 MKX.
  13. Congratulations. Nice set. Enjoy. Most ST's have the 21" wheels. Yours are 20" right? They look good in my opinion.
  14. My guess is that if they were not like that they wouldn't have held the cup correctly. Try when taking out the cup to press against one side to loosen the other side so the friction would be only on one side of the cup.
  15. They changed the name of the function in ForScan. It is called “Local Interconnect Network New Module Calibration”. Try that and see if it works.
  16. Regarding the ST being faster or better handling than the 2015-2018 Sport, I don't recall any credible review that made a direct comparison. Also all of Ford's media about the improvements made on the ST were not clear wether or not they were actually improved upon the regular Edge or the previous Sport. So you really need someone who drove both back to back to affirm how much better the ST's handling is.
  17. It seems to be physically integral, just operates as a separate module. From the FSM - Parking Aid System Operation and Component Description PAM The PAM is the controlling module for the active park assist system, processing the active park assist and parking aid sensor data, providing the steering angle commands to the PSCM and generating driver input requests through the centerstack infotainment display and audio system. The PAM sets and stores Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) for the active park assist system. The PAM integral to the BCM but communicates as a separate module on the HSCAN1.
  18. It is weird. Are you sure it is the brake lights? That would also include the 3rd light in spoiler. Also, if I'm understanding you correctly, it only happens when parked on an incline but not when parked on a level ground? If yes then I'd also suspect the brake work, maybe the brake light switch is too sensitive that the inclination is causing it to engage. Or maybe it a defective switch. Does cruise control work fine? If the brake lights are randomly turning on on bumps cruise control should disengage.
  19. First, this is a forum forum for the Ford Edge, not Fusion. 2nd, if retrieving the code was very easy, then your vehicle would become easily accessible by anyone who had it for a brief drive. Like a valet or car wash. 3rd, you can always go to a dealer who can get easily. 4th, you can use ForScan to retrieve it.
  20. Sorry to hear about your experience. 2 in a row. Anyway, if you still are thinking of going 3rd party, remember that the OEM windshield has an acoustic layer for better sound insulation, non-OEM might or might not have it.
  21. I don't recall any member having a similar issue.especially not on the new models. The fuse chart shows that there are separate fuses for each 12V power outlet, so it might be that. But being a 2019, let your dealer take care of it.
  22. Looking at the fuse chart for the 2016 model (2015-2018 probably similar), there is no fuse for the brake lights. So my guess would be it's either the light itself, or the wiring.
  23. Check in the settings in the center 8" display that the ambient lights are turned on.
