  1. Traction Control is what keeps the wheels from spinning, like on snow or slippery surfaces. Advance Trac is what helps keeps the vehicle from going out of the intended track, usually when turning, think drifting or taking turns sideways. This is accomplished by braking individual wheels and/or cutting engine power. In Advance Trac Sport mode the system is dialed back to some degree to allow some spirited driving, when it is "off", then it is completely off.
  2. Not for the Edge, that's for the version in the F-150. The Edge still has Direct Injection only.
  3. Set the dim to day or night then go back to Auto. This happens every about 12 hours of run time as the Sync system (MyFord Touch - APIM) restarts while the car is off. You can know that it had restarted when the settings icon will take you to the clock settings instead of the last settings menu, usually display for me. Also, if you had SMS notifications set to text to speech it also would reset to the default setting. This has been going on for a long time. Faced it in my 2011 MKX & now 2016 Edge (yes with MyFord Touch. Export model). It is a bug that has never been addressed by Ford. Probably due to not being complained about.
  4. The ST has a different transmission, the 8F57.
  5. I think what you are looking for is part number 3 in the diagram. Here is a link to it. @WWWPerfA_ZN0W will probably have a better answer, just for a little for him and he will surely provide an answer.
  6. I'd suggest replacing the steering wheel. You'd find good used OEM on eBay for ~ $50 and replacement procedure is quite simple.
  7. There should be an opening in the bumper leading to a duct behind the bumper to direct air to the front wheel well. We don't have FWD Edges here so I can't see it personally, but have seen it on the Explorer and at some angels you can see through it from the front to the wheel well.
  8. See the photos in this listing. Also this image. From the 2015 Edge Source Book:
  9. There is a setting in the display menu to show a vertical tachometer next to the fuel gauge, though it is very small.
  10. I think only on 2.0L FWD models they are open with ducts behind for the side air curtains. Something for aerodynamics & improved efficiency. Just wonder how beneficial they are since they are closed off in all other models.
  11. Anyone had the TSB applied to their Edge? I asked my dealer and they ordered the parts, but they informed me that the mini-mudflaps have been on back order since early January! Edit, April 12: was just informed yesterday by the dealer that the parts arrived.
  12. Few questions: How was the install? Can you post the link to the eBay listing? For the turn Signals, can't you just use the wiring for the stock turn signals? They are immediately above those lights at the bottom of the headlights. Might want to disable the stock front parking lights first as they operate on a dual voltage setup (link to how I did it). Couldn't you have used the stock signature lighting's wires for input for the DRLs?
  13. What surprised more is that on my 2016 Sport, the 1-2-3 shift happens just below 60 mph, the ST has a shorter final drive, so the 1-2-3-4 sooner than the Sport's 1-2-3, hence no wonder it has a slow 0-60 time with all those shifts.
  14. The Edge's door will not unlock unless you put you hand inside the door handle opening (while the fob is close). If it is still unlocking, it might be that the fobs buttons are being pressed accidentally, or there is an issue with the Edge's locks. Edit: A feature worth looking into is the Auto Relock, but it does not come by default. You'll need to enable it with ForScan. What it will do is auto re-lock the doors if they were unlocked with a fob but a door was not opened within 45 seconds.
  15. PCM is the "Powertrain Control Module", basically the computer controlling the Engine & Transmission which has a software, this software is what is updated (and tuned in aftermarket tuners) just like how phones' software is updated. Reading all these issues with the ST's 8-speed, it seems the concern is with the 2-3 shift, also noteworthy is that the 2nd gear is one of the two added gears compared to the previous transmission in the Sport. The second added gear is the 8th, a 2nd overdrive ratio. So the issue could be as simple as software related for how it deals with the extra ratios (compared to the old 6-speed unit) or hardware with the new components they added to convert the 6-speed to a 8-speed.
  16. Try to disconnect the Edge's battery for 10 minuted to force a reset of all electronics. Or only a master reset in the settings menu of the main display.

    Edge ST MPG

@jamie1073 Did you also manually calculate it or is it only based on the trip computer?
  18. Horns usually are made up of two pieces, low & hight tone. Ford stated skipping on one of two in recent models. If it bothers you can add the other one.
  19. There is a Ford procedure for draining & refilling the PTU foe Gen 2. Install the PTU drain plug. Torque: 33 lb.ft (45 Nm) Transfer Case Draining and Filling.pdf Sorry, @WWWPerfA_ZN0W, didn't see your post with the torque specs. By the way, our Dealer here is aware & they spec the drain/refill every 32k km. But it is probably because our region had higher failure rates that prompted the drain plug to be factory equipped from 2013 Edge models and also the extended 1 time replacement warranty for previous years with a drain plug equipped PTU.
  20. The battery terminals are available separately. P/N foe the positive is BT4Z-14450-AA and costs ~$13
  21. This feature was added in later builds of 2013 models. Not sure if it can be added or not.

    Edge ST MPG

Can you show a picture of this view? I don't believe this would be for 2019.
  23. Congratulations. The Nautilus is a nice vehicle. Hope you enjoy it to the fullest.
