Welcome & congratulations. @1004ron, and the interior. Stitched Leather lined dashboard and door panels. Quilted leather seats. Fully Carpeted cargo area (+ side panels). Fog lights. Adaptive LED Headlights. And a Diesel.

Good comparison, but if my fridge double honked a loud horn I'd definitely throw it out. The problem with Ford's implementation is their extremely annoying loud noise. And it does it on all doors. The other day a guy in an Escape got out while the engine is running and it double honked. He opened the rear door to let his young daughter out, double honk. Get stuff out the lift gate, double honk. Others, at least Nissan & Toyota from my experience, use a softer beeping tone that doesn't wake up the neighborhood or puts you in an awkward position with others thinking your honking on them. Though with the newer Ford's and their cost cutting single horns I imagine it would be less annoying.

I noticed the same thing when reading info released on the ST. Felt like they ignored that the Sport ever existed and did not state what exact improvements where made compared to the Sport. Thanks for the feedback. Also, did you have the 21" or 20" wheels on the Sport?

Congratulations on the new ST. Tell us more on the 2016 Sport vs 2019 ST differences please.

Can I disable artificial engine sound in cabin?
omar302 replied to Jombi's topic in Interior, A.C., Heat, Interior Trim
That is a different system/tech. The Edge Sport/ST use a totally electronic system similar to noise cancellation headsets. How it works in the Edge was explained in this post. -
What your facing is NOT normal. My Edge's TPMS readouts are very close to actual measurements, and they do fluctuate from cold to hot (morning start to after a 30 minute drive). Also the outside temperature reading is also fairly accurate.

The last two digits are a checksum, it is normal to change after any change in the digits before. ForScan will calculate the correct checksum for you. Normally the vehicle tones are routed through the audio speakers, sometimes they would come directly from the instrument panel cluster. They should return back to the audio speakers after a vehicle restart. If they remain coming from the instrument cluster then you have an issue, either the setting was changed with ForScan or some other reason. -

By the way, you can also disable ANC temporarily by leaving a door ajar, at least the driver's door works as per my experience. Just to see what kind of difference you can expect from disabling it. -

@onyxbfly, I also use the same adapter. Really good one. Also the new MX+ version has iPhone support and includes "additional" OEM code reading abilities that now come with no extra cost. Would help in diagnostics for non-Ford vehicles. -

I remember reading on the forum that you can disable the active noise cancelation by disconnecting any of the 3 mics in the headliner. -

@jmr061 made a video on the replacement of the turn signal bulbs:

Fix it under warranty. That is not normal, the shade on my 2016 is as sturdy as my older 2011. As far as I know, the 2019 has the same shade as 2015+ models.

LIncoln MKX to Ford Edge Instrument Cluster Swap
omar302 replied to onyxbfly's topic in Accessories & Modifications
The MKX, Nautilus, now has an all display cluster, so they have no excuse letting the Edge with the very old cluster. What's worse is that this cluster in the Edge (Sport, Titanium, ST) is the upper class cluster. They did the same mistake with the new 2019 Ranger. Using this same cluster design. The worst aspect of this cluster is the mostly useless right scree.- 110 replies

With the ignition "OFF" you can move the wipers by hand to the up position then you can lift them. When the ignition is off, the wiper motors can be moved freely. After replacing the blades make sure to lower the wipers back to the windshield. Once the ignition is turned on the wiper motors will start and park the wipers back to their position. If the order of the wipers is incorrect, the motors will do correct their positions.

LIncoln MKX to Ford Edge Instrument Cluster Swap
omar302 replied to onyxbfly's topic in Accessories & Modifications
@onyxbfly Congratulations on finishing the project. The stock cluster is very "boring". Especially since I have been looking at the type since 2011.- 110 replies
