  1. There is a Ford procedure for draining & refilling the PTU foe Gen 2. Install the PTU drain plug. Torque: 33 lb.ft (45 Nm) Transfer Case Draining and Filling.pdf Sorry, @WWWPerfA_ZN0W, didn't see your post with the torque specs. By the way, our Dealer here is aware & they spec the drain/refill every 32k km. But it is probably because our region had higher failure rates that prompted the drain plug to be factory equipped from 2013 Edge models and also the extended 1 time replacement warranty for previous years with a drain plug equipped PTU.
  2. The battery terminals are available separately. P/N foe the positive is BT4Z-14450-AA and costs ~$13
  3. This feature was added in later builds of 2013 models. Not sure if it can be added or not.

    Edge ST MPG

Can you show a picture of this view? I don't believe this would be for 2019.
  5. Congratulations. The Nautilus is a nice vehicle. Hope you enjoy it to the fullest.
  6. OEM replacement fan? There have a lot issues with people when using aftermarket fans on the Edge.
  7. Center (hub) bore diameter is different. I think 2007-2010 are 70.6mm while 2011-2014 are 634mm. So it is not a direct swap.
  8. That means the noise is from the back seat. Check if the seat cushion and back are loose. Try reclining the back seat to see if it affects the rattling.
  9. Fords warranty would not cover it, this is whats stated in the warranty booklet: But you can check the tire manufacturer's warranty if they have something, I know at least Vredestein does include the a Road Hazard Replacement Program during the first year.
  10. Just found there is a SSM for 2015-2016 the Edge Cooled Seats:
  11. Here is the procedure for a 2015, the 2019 will probably be the same. Front Door Upper Moulding.pdf
  12. Hi Jason, Any details on the reasons for this recall? What are the symptoms or safety concern? Also the remedy is only changing the steering?
  13. Check this post/topic, there is a TSB to fix (or try to, don't think anyone reported post fix), note that the fix is applicable for front & rear doors:
  14. Next time try to forces reset (restart) of Sync, no need to turn off the engine or wait longer. From the owners manual : SYNC System Reset The SYNC system in your vehicle has System Reset feature that can be performed if the function of a SYNC feature is lost. This reset is intended to restore functionality and will not erase any information previously stored in the system (Such as paired devices, phonebook, call history, text messages, or user settings). To perform a System Reset, press and hold the Seek Up (>>) button while pressing and holding the Radio Power button. Release both buttons after 2-3 seconds. Please allow a few minutes for the reset to complete. After a few minutes has passed you can resume using the SYNC system.
  15. The Explorer being developed with Police duty in mind and much higher sales actually has Ford's attention. The Police Utility version outperformed the police Charger V8s (AWD & RWD) in all performance tests of the Michigan State Police (0-60, Top Speed & Lap times).
  16. I don't think that would be the case here because as per OP even the intelligent access did not work (unlocking the door when the fob is close and pulling the door handle). You can find blank keys online, like eBay (link) or Amazon (link), and then have any locksmith cut it using the other key.
  17. I'll add 1 more point to @onyxbfly, how are you with buyer's remorse? I know for me I will regret not getting the newer model because of all the new features, new chassis & engine.
  18. @Amerikaner83 Even if it was not yet done on the, this will done under no cost to the owner, even if the warranty is over. You don't need to worry about it.
  19. Here is the comparison table I made, it is a 2016 Edge Sport (2015-2018 should be similar) compared to the 2019 Edge ST:
  20. I checked that myself earlier and compared the transmission ratios of the Edge Sport to the ST & found that all six ratios of the Sport are included in the ST with the addition of an extra ratio between the 2nd & 3rd (edit: correct is between 1st & 2nd) of the Sport & an extra overdrive, beyond the Sport's overdrive. I'll try to look for the table comparison I made and post it here.
  21. In some cars you really can't see the signals with their very bright DRLs. Where I live there are no strict regulations, and hence many of those vehicles that have the DRLs turn off in the state remain on here, also some with the "Audi style" sequential signal and in daytime it is really hard notice the front turn signals from a reasonable distance.
  22. I think there is a regulation dictating that in case the DRL is close to the turn signal it should turn off when the signal is on. Also, it can be changed in ForScan: 726-26-02 xxx* xxxx xxxx DRL Switchback w/Turn Signal: 0=disable, 1=enable
  23. What is in the top left corner under the floor panel? This seems to be something new.
  24. As far as I remember, yes you can do that. I remember early build 2011 models also had the the large mirrors.
