  1. OEM replacement fan? There have a lot issues with people when using aftermarket fans on the Edge.
  2. Center (hub) bore diameter is different. I think 2007-2010 are 70.6mm while 2011-2014 are 634mm. So it is not a direct swap.
  3. That means the noise is from the back seat. Check if the seat cushion and back are loose. Try reclining the back seat to see if it affects the rattling.
  4. Fords warranty would not cover it, this is whats stated in the warranty booklet: But you can check the tire manufacturer's warranty if they have something, I know at least Vredestein does include the a Road Hazard Replacement Program during the first year.
  5. Just found there is a SSM for 2015-2016 the Edge Cooled Seats:
  6. Here is the procedure for a 2015, the 2019 will probably be the same. Front Door Upper Moulding.pdf
  7. Hi Jason, Any details on the reasons for this recall? What are the symptoms or safety concern? Also the remedy is only changing the steering?
  8. Check this post/topic, there is a TSB to fix (or try to, don't think anyone reported post fix), note that the fix is applicable for front & rear doors:
  9. Next time try to forces reset (restart) of Sync, no need to turn off the engine or wait longer. From the owners manual : SYNC System Reset The SYNC system in your vehicle has System Reset feature that can be performed if the function of a SYNC feature is lost. This reset is intended to restore functionality and will not erase any information previously stored in the system (Such as paired devices, phonebook, call history, text messages, or user settings). To perform a System Reset, press and hold the Seek Up (>>) button while pressing and holding the Radio Power button. Release both buttons after 2-3 seconds. Please allow a few minutes for the reset to complete. After a few minutes has passed you can resume using the SYNC system.
  10. The Explorer being developed with Police duty in mind and much higher sales actually has Ford's attention. The Police Utility version outperformed the police Charger V8s (AWD & RWD) in all performance tests of the Michigan State Police (0-60, Top Speed & Lap times).
  11. I don't think that would be the case here because as per OP even the intelligent access did not work (unlocking the door when the fob is close and pulling the door handle). You can find blank keys online, like eBay (link) or Amazon (link), and then have any locksmith cut it using the other key.
  12. I'll add 1 more point to @onyxbfly, how are you with buyer's remorse? I know for me I will regret not getting the newer model because of all the new features, new chassis & engine.
  13. @Amerikaner83 Even if it was not yet done on the, this will done under no cost to the owner, even if the warranty is over. You don't need to worry about it.
  14. Here is the comparison table I made, it is a 2016 Edge Sport (2015-2018 should be similar) compared to the 2019 Edge ST:
  15. I checked that myself earlier and compared the transmission ratios of the Edge Sport to the ST & found that all six ratios of the Sport are included in the ST with the addition of an extra ratio between the 2nd & 3rd (edit: correct is between 1st & 2nd) of the Sport & an extra overdrive, beyond the Sport's overdrive. I'll try to look for the table comparison I made and post it here.
  16. In some cars you really can't see the signals with their very bright DRLs. Where I live there are no strict regulations, and hence many of those vehicles that have the DRLs turn off in the state remain on here, also some with the "Audi style" sequential signal and in daytime it is really hard notice the front turn signals from a reasonable distance.
  17. I think there is a regulation dictating that in case the DRL is close to the turn signal it should turn off when the signal is on. Also, it can be changed in ForScan: 726-26-02 xxx* xxxx xxxx DRL Switchback w/Turn Signal: 0=disable, 1=enable
  18. What is in the top left corner under the floor panel? This seems to be something new.
  19. As far as I remember, yes you can do that. I remember early build 2011 models also had the the large mirrors.
  20. My experience is like what Jamie stated. In full auto mode, everything is automatically controlled to reach the desired temperature (obviously), while in auto, changing the vent flow or fan speed will make that setting fixed but the other part still in auto. For example, if the airflow was set to the dash vents, the fan speed will remain in auto, even though the auto button's light is turned off. And vice versa. Also, when the fan speed & vent are set manually, the air temperature will still be "auto" controlled to maintain the set temp. For example, if set temp is 22C and the interior is warm, the air will come cold until 22C is reached then the air temp will warm up to maintain 22C in the interior.
  21. This is what's stated in the owners manual: GENERAL INFORMATION Condensation in the Exterior Front Lamps and Rear Lamps Exterior front lamps and rear lamps have vents to accommodate normal changes in air pressure. Condensation can be a natural by-product of this design. When moist air enters the lamp assembly through the vents, there is a possibility that condensation can occur when the temperature is cold. When normal condensation occurs, a fine mist can form on the interior of the lens. The fine mist eventually clears and exits through the vents during normal operation. Clearing time may take as long as 48 hours under dry weather conditions. Examples of acceptable condensation are: The presence of a fine mist (no streaks, drip marks or large droplets). A fine mist covers less than 50% of the lens. Examples of unacceptable condensation are: A water puddle inside the lamp. Streaks, drip marks or large droplets present on the interior of the lens. If you see any unacceptable condensation, have your vehicle checked by an authorized dealer. 2019 Edge Owner's Manual
  22. The fan is supposed to run on a higher speed until the desired temperature is reached or it's close to it. What is the temperature you have it set to? And what's the outside temperature?
  23. My experience is that engine idling will have a big effect on fuel economy. Warming up, traffic jams and remote starting regularly will decrease the average fuel economy significantly.
  24. If that date is correct, it can't be Sync 3. Sync 3 became available in 2016 model years. So the oldest manufacturing date can't be before 2015. Also, remember that you'll need the display & APIM. They are 2 different parts. I don't recall someone doing this upgrade on the Edge, but there is a thread on it on the Fusion forums. Maybe it'll help.
