  1. It is probably due to the limitations of the OBDLink LX. It cannot access MS-CAN and hence would not see the modules working on MS-CAN, also there are newer HS-CAN2 & HS-CAN3 which i am not sure if the LX can see. The SCCM is on MS-CAN so you won't be able to change that, but for the Double Horn Honk just follow @ben senise post above.
  2. This is a feature enabled/disabled in the vehicles settings in the left instrument cluster display. Had it on my 2011 MKX and also in the 2016 Sport ?. Edit: Just looked in my 2016 Sport & the menu is not there! But the feature is working. Not sure if it was there & maybe due to ForScan edits it disappeared or not.
  3. Is it only when first opening the door to go in the car while it is off? And it does NOT come if the engine is already running? Is so then it is probably the fuel pump priming to build up pressure getting ready so when you start the engine it starts easier.
  4. It was this article from MotorTend when they reviewed the 2011 Edge Sport AWD and found it slower 0-60 than a SEL with FWD. https://www.motortrend.com/cars/ford/edge/2011/2011-ford-edge-test/
  5. If know correctly, the date is set from data received from GPS even if you don't have navigation. Try a master reset or disconnect the battery for a few minutes. Maybe a reset will sort it out.
  6. Is it possible to change the sign out button on the mobile site? It is very prominent especially when going for the "Mark site read" button many times I accidentally tap on "Sign Out" instead of "Mark site read".
  7. What if there is no car in front?
  8. I have the procedure for the 2015 which is different. But I think the same principle applies. need to wait 40 minutes. NOTE: No factory equipped vehicle should have more than a 50 mA (0.050 amp) draw. Check for current drains on the battery in excess of 50 mA (0.050 amp) with all the electrical accessories off and the vehicle at rest for at least 40 minutes. Current drains can be tested with the following procedure. Battery Drain Check.pdf
  9. I have on my 2016. Had on my previous 2011 MKX & 2008 Taurus. It's a Ford trademark ?. To reduce it, like what @Fingernip stated above. If it still shakes, from my experience, it is because the hood is not seating properly at the back, on the weatherstripping at the cowl. But there is no adjustment on that end so I try to bend the hood slightly from the middle so it seats better to the cowl area. With the hood open I just pull back the hood from the rear middle with two hands. It helped a lot in reducing the shaking.
  10. These laws applicable in the US are usually really useful. For example, we have here the 2016+ Lexus LX570 with sequential turn signals without turning off the DRLs, and it is difficult to notice that the signal is on until you are very close to it, but not US spec'ed versions.
  11. Many other cars/SUVs do it. Even my 2016 Edge does it, though My DRLs are not the LED signature lights. Also there is a ForScan mod that can disable/enable it for modern Fords. I think this link would answer your question better than I did: https://jalopnik.com/heres-why-modern-cars-turn-off-one-of-their-lights-when-1792394567
  12. That is normal. During daytime the signature lights are brighter to act as daytime lights, the turn off when the signal is on to make the turn signal mode visible. At night, the signature will be dimmed, compared to day time, hence no need for them to turn off with the signals. There is also a DOT (or some other regulatory) regulation that actually requires this when the the signal light & DRL are close to each other.
  13. Like what Nick, that is a solution. But aren't you under warranty? Wouldn't it be covered? Also, there are new, updated versions of the weatherstrips (for back of rear doors & bottom) that should help and they definitely don't cost $2,000 !! See TSB 18-2339. Rear Door back weatherstrip (right) - $64.56 Rear Door back weatherstrip (left) - $64.32 Lower weatherstip (right) - $38.44 Lower weatherstip (left) - $38.44 Mini mudflap (right) - $23.19 Mini mudflap (left) - $23.19 Grip tape - $6.96 (for 2) Push Pins - $1.88 (for 2) Foam Tape - $9.83 Total for parts for the TSB is $270.81
  14. Several of us did it on the 2015-2018 model including myself. This thread has more details.

    Moving On

Hope you have better experience with the Subaru.
  16. There was a General Service Bulletin for Dealers to disable Autolocks for 2015-2016 Edge, though I am not sure it is applicable for the 2019. 45578 - 2015-2016 Edge and 2016 MKX - Procedure To Disable Autolocks Some 2015-2016 Edge and 2016 MKX customers may request to have the autolocks disabled. The autolocks are not a customer configurable feature. If a customer request to have the autolocks disabled, use IDS version 98.04 or higher to disable t he autolocks. Enter Module Programming - Programmable Parameters - Power Door Locks - Auto Lock 1-5 - Enable/Disable. To disable the autolocks, Auto Lock 1 through Auto Lock 5 all need to be disabled prior to pressing the tick mark. Disabling the autolocks at the request of the customer cannot be claimed as a warrantable repair. Section 501-14 of the online Workshop Manual is being updated to prov ide direction on disabling the autolock feature.
  17. From the parts# compatibility, your assumption seems correct. The same seat back blower part number is specified for 2016-2019. It's a long story. In short, it is Ford's solution to make an "intake snorkel" so that the seat back blower, which inside the seat back cavity, will draw air from under the seat to be used for cooling/heating. Before adding the this intake "sock/snorkel" the blower would get the air from inside the seat cavity. This is the website with the fix, it has a better explanation.
  18. The AWD system will disable and you should not drive for long or too fast. Rear the owners manual. Using AWD system. Changing a road tire.
  19. Then email the ForScan team. Maybe they can help.

    Edge ST MPG

I usually put in about 56-60 litres (15-16 US gallons) when the have nearly 0 km to empty. With my previous ride, a 2011 MKX with a 20 gallon tank, I would usually put 10 litres more. Sometimes as much as the advertised tank capacity. It was like the reserve capacity is in addition to the tank capacity while in the 2016 Edge the reserve is part of the rated capacity.

You don't need ForScan or any tool.
  22. Clear the saved vehicle profile in ForScan so it will re-learn the vehicle with the new PCM strategy. Vehicle > Gear icon (settings) > Clear Cache. Though I have an Android phone, so not sure if it is the same setup. Also do it for the PC version when you do connect it.
  23. i know this is an old thread, but didn't find a better place to post my question. Just got the Livenois MyCalibrator Touch Tuner and tried on tune, LMS 91 Performance, the file's name is "G2GA-CPA_CNBP2PA_91Per_V3_conv_.bin". Honestly the only differences I felt are the harsher shifts, so definitely will request a soft (stock) shift tune, but thought to wait a few more days trying it as it is. But wanted to ask how do you find the difference between the 91 Performance & stock? is it noticeable for you? Also, another question, when programming the tune, I was expecting it to take ~10 minutes, but it was much faster. The tuner display showed "Erasing block 1 of 3" then "Writing block 1 of 3" then the same for blocks 2 & 3 and that's it. Thought it would be more cause when reading the stock tune they where 16 blocks & took way much longer.
  24. I had adaptive Bi-Xenon in the 2011 MKX and it worked flawlessly. I think Ford's issue with the 2019 Edge stems from the Edge being also offered for Europe with the adaptive lights since 2015 or 2016, so it might be a marketing mistake and/or build issues where Edges built for North America have hardware differences compared to those for European market.
