Can anyone with a 2015-2018 Edge confirm if they get the Radio Data information on the right screen of the instrument cluster?

I also have the same issue. 2011 had especially a lot of of room for the left foot. 2016 has limited foot room in comparison. I wear size 13 shoes so I feel it more.

When the setting is on full (3 dots) the fan is noisy. It is normal as I had the same noise on my 2011 MKX and now 2016 Edge. Also noticed it on the Explorers.

To check, from my own experience: 1) Is the bottom spoke of the steering wheel hollow or filled? Hollow means without adaptive steering. 2) Another test, with the engine off, turn the steering wheel a half turn or so, then start the engine, if it has adaptive steering the wheel will realign. 3) How many turns does it need to go from lock to lock? On a 2016 with Adaptive steering it is 2 turns only.

It is stated that the recal is "Issued by parent company Ford, the latest one addresses vehicles equipped with lane-centering assist and adaptive front steering." The 2019 Edge ST does not have Adaptive Steering. That is probably why the Edge is not included or effected by that recall.

You don't have to be parked between trucks, a full size crossover or SUV are enough to block you view of traffic from that side. As for parking reversed, yes I agree and I do park like that most of the time. Even once in Orlando an old lady got upset why I was parking like that! Even after waiting for her to pass before reverse parking she was upset I didn't park "normally".

@ben senise, that is what the OP of the thread I linked to stated. I have not done it myself. Another option is to get some of those headlights from China that have LED DRLs found on eBay & AliExpress. Also I do not have any experience with them. My Sport had HID from the factory & honestly I was a bit disappointed with them, had to realign them, push them in there mounts so they aim a bit away from each other (loosen the screws a bit, move then retighten). Finally bought a set of Philips D3S bulbs with higher output & led level color. Now they are acceptable as HID, but they should have been better as Ford seems to use really bad projectors.

Yes it does. But then you'll have to look at the side view mirrors or the instrument cluster to know which side the vehicle is coming from and wait to see if it is a true warning. The rear cross traffic alert is not really that reliable, had it on the MKX & now on the Edge and could never trust it. They should have at least added indicators on the rear camera view so you'll know whci side the alert is from.

The vanity mirror lights (on the sun visors) are also incandescent bulbs, not LED.

A member here, @Ghhuff, did the swap on his 2017 Edge (should be similar to your 2018. The HID headlights do swap in directly, but they also require some software changes, using ForScan to change a few As Built Parameters. Here is the thread.

The issue is that if your parked next to a large vehicle (SUV, Pickup ...etc.) your view would be blocked until you are half way backed up.

I'd also say it is like what akirby stated, cost cutting. But I think it started with the fact that the tech 1st came in 2016 and at that time the new generation Edge had already been introduced, in other words it missed the tech, but they should have added it in the refresh (2019). Another reason might be the fact that the Explorer is designed with police duty in consideration and they do have a sort of rear surveillance system. I wish we could find a lens of sort that can be put on the rear camera that would widen the view.

Just confirm with the seller that it is the latest version. I don't know which part number it should be, but it is worth checking as Ford made many updates over the years.

Boost Gauge is now available in the ST. Transmission indicator, the new Ranger has a similar gauge setup as the Edge, and it has the gear indicator as a vertical line (similar to the F-150) on the right instrument screen. Hopefully these can somehow be ported to the Edge someday.

The Edge has a regular (single View) rear camera. Even the 2019. Unfortunately the split view (180 degree) camera is not yet available for the rear. it is for the front only when equipped with a front camera.

The 2016 Explorer got the rear split view camera with washer. It was disappointing that Ford did not implement both features on the Edge. Also Nick, please notice that @JCrew7384 was referring to this feature on his own Explorer that he personally used. It was not highlighted a lot as most of the talk was about the Front Camera, but it is there. This is from the 2016 Explorer Brochure:

Checking KBB, the price difference between a 2016 Edge Sport with all the options and an MKX Reserve is less than $3k. When new, the price difference was more than $15k (MSRP well equipped AWD).

I haven't driven Nautilus (Previously MKX), but they are basically an Edge with a softer ride & nicer interior. The Nautilus can be had with either 2.0 or 2.7 engines which the same as the regular & ST Edge. Generally they also depreciate faster.

Ford hasn't offered any other color for the Sport since at least 2015. Same thing with the Fusion Sport & Explorer Sport. Seems like it is Ford's "Sport" theme and if you want the stronger/bigger engine with the nicer interior, go for a Lincoln.

I haven't seen the manual myself, but I remember reading here a member stating that boost was limited during break-in, for 1000 miles or so. Edit: Found the post I was referring to. it was based on his observation.

I also couldn't find anything stating that ANC only works with radio off. Even testing it with radio at a low volume comparing it to "off", the engine noise is the same. However, reading in the service manual, it does state that ANC would turn off in case a door or the liftgate is open. There is no such code. You can remove the battery with no worries, the radio will work after reconnecting the battery.

Don't remember seeing it before, but would you please link to the 2015? The only ones I found where for the Chinese Edge (3-row) with the taller roof line.

Just got my Edge back from the dealer, and they supposedly updated a few modues, IPC, RGTM, FCIM at my request due to some issues. Now I had a log using ForScan before & after and both are the same. I am sure they did something to the IPC because the ABD was restored to stock & I had to re-apply all the ForScan changes I want. If the module was updated, should the below info match in before & after the update?
