I believe the OP is referring to the software version.
-
OP said he has a 16 Edge Sport...those all came with SYNC3 from the factory. The software just needs to be at 2.0 or higher and the hub installed. $479....wtf are they smoking.
-
There is an updated TSB for this...#19-2243
-
If the setting isn't the issue then make sure you update SYNC to the latest available or if its under warranty go to the dealer have it done.
-
Have you actually taken it up to speed when putting it back in drive? There is a delay setting for the camera that is speed related. Did that get turned on? Although you didn't specify what year you have?

press and hold the CD eject button and then SEEK UP at same time for about 5-10 seconds. This will put the unit into diagnostics mode and it does a speaker test. After the speaker test is complete a menu will show up. Now press and hold the seek down button until the calibration screen appears. After following the instructions for calibration, press anywhere on the screen to exit. It is now calibrated properly and you may exit back to the main screen.

Changing 2019 Edge's weak single horn to dual horn
jmr061 replied to 9mmbullitt's topic in Accessories & Modifications
The horn just needs to meet federal safety standards. I don't know if something changed with that or not and I'm not going to take the time to look. But Ford put out to dealers a long time ago a notice on the horn change on multiple vehicle lines and that changing them is not a warranty item. Just think of the shear number of vehicles across multiple vehicle lines they have done this too, the savings in money adds up real quick for Ford. They eliminate screws and bolts when they find out they are not needed in order to save money. -
If you have a small tool or small enough fingers the easiest way to pull the usb hub is remove the top, side panel along the right side of the center console and then you can see the body of the USB hub assembly. Reach in and press the bottom release tab on the hub and push up the hub out at the same time and it will come right out. No need to pull the entire console apart. I should add I am going from memory here...you may need to pop out the lower side panel a bit too.

The Chinese Edge has had a 3rd row which is why its longer, not sure if this redesign has 3rd row there

Forscan to enable tow lights
jmr061 replied to mr_jason's topic in Cargo, Hauling, Roof Racks & Towing
I could have helped you out on this. -
Curious if you ended up towing a smaller hauler or not? I too am wondering what a "safe" tow capacity would be a 16 Sport with the class 3 hitch added.

Sounds to me like the TPMS is working as it should. Did your other vehicle have normal "air" in the tires or was it nitrogen or something else? BTW Ford tells me on my Ford Pass APP that TPMS is NOT to be used as a tire pressure gauge.

Ford is rolling out V3.0_19149 as of this weekend. Looks to be released on the dealer side first as I was able to upgrade mine through the official dealer process (OASIS/IDS) however the owner site did not reflect the download being available just prior to upgrading it via the dealer method. I checked before hand just to make sure. It does correct the IOS Speedometer issue. Be patient...Ford tends to roll out updates by vehicle models so some may have it and some may not at this point.

From the service manual: The IPC provides a tolerance that allows the speed indication to display between 3% below and 7% above the actual vehicle speed. This means that with an actual vehicle speed of 97 km/h (60 mph), the speedometer can indicate between 94-103 km/h (58-64 mph). Incorrect axle ratio, tire size or tire size configuration could potentially affect the speedometer accuracy. Sounds like it is within spec...just barely.

All that is, is a language pack. Its not the 3.10 update.
-
Well it took a total of three visits including the original to get the job done properly. Frustrating but at least its done.
-
Yeah its less than $32 MSRP. https://accessories.ford.com/electronics/remote-start/aerial-asy.html

The antenna retails for less than $32.
-
The antenna alone is $130? It plugs into the TPMS module right?
