I assumed the same brand/style wheel, the larger will weigh more of course. And, It's not possible to judge one design or brand with another properly. What I posted was a comparison of tire weights using the 245/50/20 & 265/40/21 sizes; both were the Perelli Scorpion Verde All Season. (Compares apples-to-apples based on size alone).

I ve posted this PDF on another post, but thought it may be appropriate here. It describes how the AWD (gen 1) works. Emailing Ford's All-Wheel Drive 2009.pdf

Looked on tirerack.Com. Choose same tire brand/model in both sizes, 20" was 32 lbs, 21" was 34 lbs.

During last oil change wandered around showroom as I usually do (gets the blood circulating in the sales staff, good for laughs). Looked at the 150 on the floor, mid 70's. It was niceeee. Some sort of auto cover that unrolled and covered the bed. Rolled up out of the way when desired. The playroom was large enough, thought the bath was a little cramped however. Also still had the actually dive it yourself, no auto-drive function, and no Mr. Fusion to power it. Still had to refuel at a gas station. (Hey, for 70+, I want to be able to go back to the bedroom, grab a few zzzz's and let it drive me cross country without stopping to refuel).

The one downside to all of this is, a former owner could use the factory key code to open the door, start the car and drive it away. Or anyone else who's had access to the five-digit number. There should be a way to block this from ever happening.

I can't see any purpose for this either. Are the backup LEDs actually on or possibly bleed over from the tail lights?

Answeres for all Audio/Video questions
enigma-2 replied to Vfords's topic in Audio, Backup, Navigation & SYNC
Here's one place you can start. Be advised that one you do upgrade, you may never be able to upgrade the Sync 3 to a later version. And you will not be able to update the maps to a later year. I read that there are companies that are trying to pirate copies for those that have changed their cars, but don't remember it they have succeeded or not. https://www.4dtech.com/2015-ford-edge-sync-3-upgrade-for-myford-touch/ -

2013 Edge Limited SMOOTHEST riding tire recommendations in 2018?

I've also had problems with Michelin's after 20k. They're great when new, but get loud and hard around 19.5 - 21k. Gave up.on them years ago. I now on my 2nd set of Bridgestones with this MKX and feel its an excellent tire. Reports of short life on Michelin's in the reviews posted on Amazon, as well. -
mirror blind spot problemns
enigma-2 replied to Tc4arch's topic in Glass, Lenses, Lighting, Mirrors, Sunroof (BAMR), Wipers
I went from standard mirrors to the ones with the convex inserts. It takes a little learning to use them. Adjusting them properly is critical (see TheWizzard's post above). When adjusted properly, if you see ANY PART of a car in the convex, he's in your blind spot (and close). I would never want to go back. -

Good advice. Now it makes me want to check mine. -
While it could be a lot things, one possibility is the lens in the unit is dirty. (Car's have lot of environmental polutants not seen in a residential environment. Think of the film you see on the inside of the windshield). You could start by blowing air into the inside of the unit with a can of air made for this purpise. Then you could try using one of those DVD laser cleaning disks. And if it is a more serious problem, you could always send it to a repair shop specializing in auto DVD repair. I Googled and clicked on the first link, http://www.hitechserv.com/electronics-repair/oem-navigation-dvd-cd-changer-repair/70 They are quoting around $185. If you live in a major city it's possible that there's a repair service nearby. Could also be an opportunity to drop in one of the cool new aftermarket units. But that's going to coSr some. And then there's ebay and a used unit.

Pulled this from a different forum where they reported same condition after change. Quote: Ambient Air Temperature Sensor The Ambient Air Temperature (AAT) sensor contains a thermistor. The sensor varies its resistance with the temperature. As the temperature rises, the resistance falls. As the temperature falls, the resistance rises. The Ambient Air Temperature (AAT) sensor is an input to the PCM through separate input and return circuits. If the outside air temperature is below approximately 0°C (32°F), the PCM does not allow the A/C clutch to engage. After replacing an Ambient Air Temperature (AAT) sensor, the sensor data must be reset by either driving the vehicle at speeds consistently about 20 MPH for at least 5 minutes to update the filtered data or perform the multiple button press reset procedure to update to the current raw value. On the HVAC panel controls, press the A/C and Recirc buttons simultaneously, then release both. Within 2 seconds press the A/C button again.

Thank You! Was curious about how the compare with the gen 1 versions. .

or their MKX's. (cough)

On mine, the cooling fans cycle on and off when idling (and going slow, like in traffic when insufficient air flow through radiator). Seat fans (at least on mine) stay on steady when turned on. They don't cycle on and off). Is you seat cooling on when this occurs?
-
Probably the radiator cooling fans turning off and on as coolant temperature rises.

About the only way I've ever tried was to drill out the spot welds. Doubt you can break the welds.
