  1. Sorry, sitting here in the cool of the evening after mowing the back 40, drinking a perfect Margarita and screwing around with your post. Meant to hit the delete button and hit post by mistake. Wish there was a way to delete pots in the forum.
  2. Probably made by muffler borers. They're attracted to the carbon in the hot exhaust gases and will usually chew a perfectly round 1/8" diameter hole near the end of a muffler. Two holes are normal, one's an entrance and one's an exit. The exit can be identified as the one with heavier carbon deposit. (Actually it's part of their waste products). Easy enough to get rid of them, when you start a cold engine, the hot exhaust gasses will condense on tbe cold Steel of the muffler and form water. They usually are swept along with the condensate to the small holes at the end of the muffler and get carried out. Just let them be, don't go digging around in the warer, they really get angry when the get rinsed out and will probably look to take it out on whoever is nearby. (And we all know how bad toenail fungus can get).
  3. My experience with long-life Michelin's was super quiet and super smooth for the first 20k. Then they get into the hard rubber (to give you the extended milage) and they got loud and hard. It got so bad I had new tires put on. I see whete others on Amazon has seen the same thing, most complain of rapid wear. I decided long ago not to go with Michelin's again. Happy with Bridgestone's however.
  4. On some glove compartments (don't remember which year they added those, don't have them in my 09) are plastic pins pressed into the hinges. Might check to see if they're slide all the way in.
  5. Ran across a Youtube video which states that the most common cause of cruise control failure (90% of the time) is a failure of the secondary redundant pressure switch. Apparently they fail open and does not allow the cruse to engage.
  6. I would be afraid of putting a strong bleach product on automotive leather. Scrubbing Bubbles contains Sodium Hypochlorite (bleach), Sodium hypochlorite (basic ingredient in laundry bleach), mold and mildew stain removers, Sodium Carbonate, Decylamine Oxide, Sodium Hydroxide & Fragrance. I would be afraid of weakening or removing the leather's protective layer. (Plus the fear of getting a bleach product down into the perforations).
  7. No worries if you had used duck tape. Heh.
  8. I would inform Mr. Cronin about this. He's the only person who can take direct action to get this stopped. Believe me, the owner wants you to be completely satisifted with every service action. Service clerks seem to be either very good or very poor; willing to tell you anything to get rid of you (his immediate problem). Go right to the owner, let him know that you have been lied to and treated poorly.

    Radiator Fan?

That's great. Others reported vibration, wiring wrong and noise. Must be a hit/miss affair.
  10. Why do the words "Hanger Queen" come to mind?
  11. I believe the instructions state to wash with soap and water, then clean with alcohol and wipe dry. Don't worry about the adhesion, the adhesive is very strong and it will stick.

    Radiator Fan?

There has been a lot of negative comments after installing a non-oem fan asdy. Strongly recommend using Motorcraft fan assy.
  13. MactFordEdge has an excellent YouTube video on how to change the rear shocks on a Ford Edge.

  15. In past years, Lincoln used to recommend a specific brand (perhaps there was a kickback, but it was official). Here's a link to their website : https://www.leatherworldtech.com/Leather-Master-Products-s/1831.htm Ivery also read where professional car detailers will use Woolite to clean leather without harm. Nevet use dish soap.
  16. I seem to remember reading somewhere (may have been in this forum) that a defective pinch strip can cause open ok, but no response to close. Its under warranty, take it in to the dealer so he can pull codes and fix.
  17. Better to run at 36 than 34. 30 is too low, not only more rolling resistance but tires prematurely wear more on the edges and not as much in the center. At 15% low (30 psi vs. 35 psi) they will also be running hotter than normal, reducing life. Overheating can lead to tread separation. Low tie presource also reduces carrying capacity. Also, don't forget to check your spare. It may be low just when you need it most. On my spare it reads to "inflate to 60 psi". However the owners manual states to inflate it to what the other 4 require. (?). The owners manual governs. One last thought. My door sticker shows the pressure for 18" tires, what came with the car from the factory. After taking delivery, the first owner opted to put on 20" tires. (Still within Lincoln requirements). Therefore I have to go to the owners manual for recommendated pressures. Make certain tat the door sticker is for your exact tires, else check the OM.
  18. Tires may have worn unevenly from the misalignment. Believe I would try a tire rotation to see if anything changes.
  19. Wouldnt it be a hoot if the new grill mimicked the 2017 Lexus?
  20. I've found in the past that old versions of Java left problems in the system. Best to remove all old versions as they tell us.
  21. Update your Java to the most current.
