The oil life monitor is simply a timer that measures mileage & time (and maybe other things). As stated by akirby, the recommendation by Ford for normal driving is 16000 km or 12 months (whichever comes first). 100% oil life will represent this normal range (16000 km / 12 months). If you want to go other than normal schedule, like extremely hot weather, (severe duty) you can go for 8000 km or 6 month service intervals, in this case reset the oil life to 50% and it will come up after 8k or 6 months.

As per the leaflet, "Trailer Sway Control" uses the technologies of Ford’s AdvanceTrac® with RSC® (Roll Stability Control) to provide an additional layer of confidence and control while towing., so it seams it is only a software/algorithm added without any additional hardware and/or sensors. Even the yaw rate, lateral acceleration and gyroscopic roll rate sensors are originally part of Ford's Stability & Roll control systems.

Speedometer and Cruise MPH drastically different
omar302 replied to bherm's topic in 2011 Edge & MKX
Yes, it could be, or the signal driving the servo could be wrong making it an electronic error & not mechanical.- 15 replies

Speedometer and Cruise MPH drastically different

The speedometer needle is driven by an electric motor/servo. Edit: Here is a cluster were you can see the back of it.- 15 replies

Speedometer and Cruise MPH drastically different
omar302 replied to bherm's topic in 2011 Edge & MKX
The cluster is only electronically connected. There are only electric connectors at the back. The speedo needle is only electronically controlled. Hence why both should have the same reading. They are merely 2 output forms for the same input.- 15 replies

Speedometer and Cruise MPH drastically different
omar302 replied to bherm's topic in 2011 Edge & MKX
The OP's issue is the difference between the speedo needle indicated speed vs. the cruise control set speed. In my opinion, the needle is not calibrated correctly. It is definitely not right. Will try to confirm it with my car. Also note that it will not have any relation to the tire size. The difference is in 2 outputs of the cluster itself.- 15 replies

On a 2013 Edge I recently drove with 'S' mode, other than the different shifting characteristic, I also noticed that it only went to 5th gear. Shifting back to 'D' at highway speeds showed the upshift with the RPM going down. Might also be the case for 2015s, if so, you'd definitelyg get less mileage if you used S mode so often.

That is the best I was able to find: http://www.motorshow.me/GalleryDocs/Doc4844.pdf

As per the owners manual, the headlight replacement bulb for the 2013 Edge is HIR2, also referred to as 9012. This should be without a cover at the tip of the bulb. (Example) It is a single filament bulb, but the projector in the Edge has a moving part/shield that allows high/low beam function from the same bulb. My guess is that the replacement bulb you got is a 9006, which is very similar to the HIR2 with slight differences and can be installed in the same housing. The 9006 has a cover at the tip of the bulb is inferior to the HIR2 (less output).

don't forget to give a review after installing it. How much was it for it?

What have you done to/with your Edge/MKX today?

It was repaired. Thank God since I just had them installed in July. They used an umbrella looking patch that is installed from inside the tire. 3 days now & seems fine. -

Got a puncture (screw), thankfully air leak was slow & I didn't have to use the spare. While repairing it, had all wheels balanced (road force), and I found some interesting (not good) things!! Puncture: Screw: Front Right Spring insulator: Left Spring insulator for comparison: Rear Left brake: Rear Right brake for comparison: -
Make sure it is screwed in tightly.

They tried to fix this on my MKX, it is ~80% better. Still some slight smell is present, though not nearly as bad as before & I might be confusing it for outside air since the TSB involves reprogramming of the Climate Control possibly to turn off recirculation during hard acceleration. But when I tried to glance through the paper work, it seems they applied a newer TSB (starts with 15-XXXX) and it also involved replacing the exhaust tips with a newer version that has the exhaust gas outlet exiting downwards but with the chrome "oval" tip still looking the same. It is now a truly fake exhaust tip. Note: I recently saw a 2015 MKX in a showroom & it still had the old type exhaust tip, so this TSB might be very new & not in production vehicle.

Bad smell from vents when accelerating hard!
omar302 replied to Dukhaykh's topic in Interior, A.C., Heat, Interior Trim
It is probably Exhaust smell. Check the TSB in this post. -
Already offered on the Focus & Feista ST. http://www.autoblog.com/2014/12/27/ford-racing-ecoboost-reflash-warranty/

2012 Edge Hazard Lights wont shut off - switch discontinued
omar302 replied to CatalinaTom's topic in 2012 Edge & MKX
As far as I know, this part has to be ordered & would not be readily available (a newer version with a physical button, so not the same p/n). You can go used or try LevittownFordSuperCenter to get a new one. -

For wipers, don't go with frameless wipers. My experience with them, the driver's side will not wipe properly at the top of the windshield, seems that it is curved a little too much for frameless wipers to accommodate. Regular or hybrid wipers are much better. -
Nail in tire....Replace or plug how to reset the TPMS
omar302 replied to onyxbfly's topic in Wheels & Tires
Like what was said earlier, it will reset it itself, but it might take a couple of minutes driving above ~20mph. From the Owners Manual: -
Seat Height??? What's yours?

I think you should also take into consideration if the vehicles have or do not have the vista sunroof. -
ambient lighting problem after sync update
omar302 replied to flyers27's topic in Audio, Backup, Navigation & SYNC
Drpepper, MFT/MLT DOES reboot every once in a while. Don't know the interval, but it does. Another telltale, press the settings button (gear icon) & select anything other than clock then press the home button. The next time you press the settings icon it will take you directly to the settings page of what you last selected. When the system resets, pressing the settings icon will take you to the clock settings instead (the default settings tab). Ambient lights are NOT supposed to reset. That's what the TSB was for. For the other settings, as I said earlier, most people don't notice the change & hence not enough complaints. Also, from the way Ford has handled this MFT/MLT issue from the beginning, it doesn't seem they care anymore unless they get many complaints. Also, 3.7 has the fix for the ambient lights, but not the other resetting settings. Here is one guy with an MKT who had the same issue as yours, even the TSB did not fix his ambient lights, turned out to be a weak battery. I also got confirmation from friend & his '13 Explorer Limited with V3.7 also reset the ringer/messages settings after some time from setting it to something other than default.
