  1. Thanks for the help, I have removed the upper trim before, but the lower trim still has more screws on the sides behind the carpeted panels, and those carpeted panels seem to be connected in many places that makes removing them difficult.
  2. As per the title, can someone help with instructions to remove the trim surrounding the shifter? The trim I mean is the one indicated to in the attachment. I want to clean it thoroughly since I am getting annoyed from the small squeaks it makes.
  3. @Shacho & @Tacyon, Glad your both OK. From the looks of both vehicles, it seems Airbags were not required, so perhaps the restraint system did function properly & did not deploy the Airbags intentionally. You know that deploying an Airbag in a situation were it is not required could actually result in creating more harm instead of preventing it.
  4. They use a special tool as per attached TSB. TSB 14-0011 Door Ajar Lamp Remains Illuminated With Doors Closed 2011-13 Edge_MKX.pdf
  5. It wasn't a dealer IDS as there were many other makes in the device setup.
  6. Yes, it was programmed correctly and I was able to program 1 more key using the instructions in the Owners Manual. Even the left screen menu registered an extra admin key.
  7. It doesn't have to be a Ford IDS, many lock shops have a special generic device that connects to the OBD II connector & can do the programming. I am sure of it because I had an additional key programmed to my vehicle at a local lock shop (non dealer) when I had only 1 key (other was lost).
  8. From the 2009 MKX owners manual: There doesn't seem to be any special "trick" to open the panoramic roof. In my 2011, the roof shades would open then the glass would open to the vent position.
  9. Attached TSB 11-2-4 might be applicable to your case. TSB 11-2-4_Memory Seats old.pdf
  10. Since the issue started after the accident & repair, it is most probably due to that. Is it a sound that comes only once on that speed breaker above 20 km/h on a single start? or every time you pass the same bump (without turning the engine off)?
  11. Ok, Ok, I had the same issue & finally figured out that the 1600XB apparently represents the same W5W bulb but with a blue coating to create a whiter illumination. The same goes for the rear MAP/Courtesy & cargo lights, for the MKX they are listed as 211-2XB & they are blue bulbs of 578 (43mm festoon). I personally went for these for the front map & glove box lights: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00AIJY2ZM/ref=pe_385040_30332190_TE_M3T1_ST1_dp_2 And for the rear courtesy & cargo light went with these" http://www.amazon.com/dp/B009NOZ5AY/ref=pe_385040_30332190_TE_M3T1_ST1_dp_1 They are excellent fit & illumination is great, highly recommended. Note: For the rear map lights, they also use the same bulbs as the courtesy & rear cargo bulbs (43mm festoon), at the time I did not buy the map bulbs & now whenever any of my kids turns it on, I would see the difference like day & night. Hopefully will change them too.
  12. Yes. Tried covering the light sensor until the auto lights came on & instrument panel lights dimmed. Guess it's one more thing to add to my list for the dealer.
  13. I just read in the owners manual the following regarding BLIS: I have never noticed this before, and now after testing, I am sure that alert LED brightness does NOT change, it is always dim (hard to see during the day). Tested this by turning the Park/Headlights on and off while the BLIS was working, even when the instrument panel lights were dimming/brightening, the BLIS led brightness remained the same. Can anyone confirm if theirs dim or not?
  14. When changing tires, did you change the valve stems? They might be faulty.
  15. There should be a menu for remote start in the cluster settings menu. One of the options is for the driver & passenger seats & you should be able to select Auto or off. In Auto, the vehicle would decide if the heated seats are required to be turned on depending on outside climate temperature.
  16. Maybe in the 2015 Edge (especially when equipped with Auto Park Assist), the current Edge (2014 & below) don't have it.
  17. The Mazda CX-9 has the audible sound, since it shares some parts with the Edge it might be possible. It would really be useful because the Ford's mirror has the a small yellow dot that is sometimes hard to see. In some cases I'd have to concentrate to see it if its blinking or not, especially when sunlight is shining on the mirror. Perhaps the LED can be made to shine brighter.
  18. Check in the instrument cluster under the Information menu, how many MyKeys & Admin Keys are listed? From what you described, you should have 2 MyKeys (minimum that you used) and you should also have at least 1 more Admin key. If that is the case, then you have a missing 3rd key, either you try to find it or ask your dealer (or maybe a locksmith) to clear that key for you.
  19. I think we need to give more details, what model & year is your Edge? are you the first owner? There might be a 3rd key that is the Admin key.
  20. I think you need to start your vehicle with an Admin key to access that menu.
  21. These gauges were first available in the 2013 MKZ (Lincoln's Fusion). And on the 2016 Explorer, it's only on the Platinum trim. Other trims have the same older gauges, maybe only having the speedometer symmetric (zero on the left & top speed on the left vs. today's zero on the bottom). It has nothing to do with the platform, they can all use the newer, seems to be a cost and /or a marketing issue.
  22. WWWPerfA_ZN0W, Thanks for posting this. But my (& OP's I believe) issue is that the door seems to need to be closed a little bit further, not really aligning the door, but just to make the door shut closer to the body.
  23. I have a similar issue, but with the rear left door. Also tried to adjust the door striker (the part on the body where the door latches to), but it did not seem to change. I feel like there is a different way to adjust the alignment on these cars.
