  1. What I was referring to is not a user selectable setting and I did not try it.
  2. Asking for opinion. I have the ESP Premium coverage on a 2015 MKS, the heating function on the driver's side outside mirror is not working and the dealer diagnosis determined that the fault is from the heating element that is part of the mirror glass. ESP Premium (attached) states under "Electrical" the following coverage: "Power Mirrors (Electrical Only – Not Mirror or Glass Damage or Bulbs) Dealer declined to fix it under ESP stating that the mirror glass is not covered. In my opinion, since the fault is electrical and can only be fixed by replacing the mirror glass, which is not broken or damaged, then replacement should be covered. I had raised my concern to our area Ford representative and they sided with the dealer. Do you think they are right? 516069_01_PremiumCARE_6_15.pdf
  3. With ForScan, I recall there is a setting in IPC to use imperial gallons. Also, usually such settings change with the country setting of the IPC, again using ForScan. Things that change with country for example, in US it says "Door Ajar" instead of "Door Open", "Hood Ajar" instead of "Bonnet Open".
  4. Congratulations. Enjoy the new ride. If the 16 has a black interior, might want to consider taking the left drawer from it and replace it with the cover from the 20. It just pops out/in See this thread.
  5. That's good to hear. Try again to get the code using the 2 key method stated in the owners manual, I just tried it on my 2016 and it worked. (comments in red are mine).
  6. The poster did post later here & here. In short, that specific Edge was bought back by Ford as he faced other issues with it as well.
  7. I am actually surprised it locked. If a keyfob is inside the vehicle, it is supposed to unlock automatically if you close the door with it locked, unless you locked it using the keypad (pressing 7/8 & 9/0 buttons simultaneously) while the doors where closed. I suggest you then remove the photo or blur out the code. In many cases, the keypad code is with the owners manual, if you happen to have it outside the vehicle, check inside the owners manual pouch for the card. For a 2016, this is what the card looks like:
  8. There is at least one other member here who had a 2015 Sport with SE/SEL middle bar. https://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/18671-2015-edge-sport-non-functioning-led-light-bar-rattles-leak/
  9. How do the side taillights illuminate? Do you have amber or red rear turn signals? I am asking out of curiosity because they are supposed to match the middle part. SE/SEL have different side taillights than Titanium/Sport models. The look the same, but illuminate differently. I posted some photos here previously.
  10. Or use ForScan and your programming cost will be limited to buying a compatible OBD adapter.
  11. I did not defend Ford, just stated an observation due to how rare members departed failed RDUs on this Forum or several other Ford forums with similar powertrain designs (2011-2019 Explorer, Fusion, Flex, Taurus). Regarding the programming, see my post above, 2nd paragraph. In other words, yes, it needs programming as not entering this code might cause damage. The code needs to be entered in the PCM so it matched correctly due to manufacturing tolerances.
  12. it is strange to require a new RDU (Rear Differential Unit) at 100K. Maybe your Edge went in deep water. I cannot comment on the labor required for changing the RDU, but the programming part is simply a code that needs to be entered into the PCM. The code would be on a sticker on the Active Torque Coupling (that is attached to the RDU). This can be done with ForScan, might need to email the developers to add it for your year if it is not their by default.
  13. @BigBerky Do the reverse lights work? They are on the same light assembly. I also remember there was a member with a 2015 Sport that came from the factory with a SE/SEL middle light section that does not illuminate, I'd suggest to check the connector and make sure it has all the pins. The connector for the light bar should be in the middle of the lift gate after removing the trim. There are 3 connectors, not sure which one is for the parking lights, might check all 3. 14. The reverse lights for 2015+ models are LEDs that are part of the light assembly, cannot be replaced like normal bulbs.
  15. My "not so certain" information is that MKX, MKZ & Explorer Platinum will work. Lincoln MKC will NOT work, even though it looks the same & would fit, it will not work due to it having a single fuel sender. In all cases, you still need the Euro Edge Cluster Mask.
  16. PDF copy of @Gregertech post attached. Rear Camber Adjustment.pdf
  17. I don't know type of sensor Ford uses for the low washer fluid warning, but some makes don't work well with some types of washer fluids like Rain-X.
  18. 2015 model procedure attached, 2018 should be similar. Roof Opening Panel Glass.pdf Power Roof Opening Panel Initialization.pdf
  19. 1989 Grand Marquis 1996 Grand Marquis 1999 Sable 2008 Taurus 2011 MKX 2016 Edge 2015 MKS
  20. Middle East also gets it. Also, the 2019+ ST has it but with regular exhaust tips.
  21. First I'd like to apologise for derailing the thread from its original topic. But just a follow-up to the above, my earlier 2011 MKX did NOT have a PTU temp sensor, nor does a 2015 MKS EcoBoost (AWD) I've seen. The AWD off due to overheating on those vehicles would trigger through other means, I don't know if it's a RDU temperature sensor (if there is any) or by some sort of algorithm. The addition of the PTU temperature sensor, if I recall, was (or began) for Police Interceptors and it was to trigger a PTU fluid change requirement, not for AWD functionality. Edit: seems the sensor was first added to 2013 Taurus SHO (PP) and Interceptors as per this site. But it might have been in the 2011 Explorer due to its multi-terrain system & off road intentions. But definitely not on the Edge before 2015.
  22. There is a PID for it and with ForScan I can read the temp. That's how I knew my 2016 Edge Sport had it. I use the Android ForScan lite with an OBDLink MX Bluetooth.
  23. Mine also does, but I thought it was a Middle East build spec thing. Now we neef to know whether a warning message comes up when needed or not.
  24. They should have done what they did with the Police Interceptor & Utility, added a fluid temperature sensor that would trigger and indicate a PTU fluid change requirement when needed.
