First, since the update process did start, then your MFT was on an older version. Second, did you try to recopy the update file to the USB drive? My guess is that one of the files is either missing or corrupt. Try that, and if it doesn't work try another USB drive.

High beam/DRL question
omar302 replied to TRYING2ADULT's topic in Glass, Lenses, Lighting, Mirrors, Sunroof (BAMR), Wipers
To have the DRL turn on, the headlight switch (dial) should be on auto, the transmission lever should not be in P, and it should be daylight. Otherwise the DRL will be off. -
High beam/DRL question
omar302 replied to TRYING2ADULT's topic in Glass, Lenses, Lighting, Mirrors, Sunroof (BAMR), Wipers
What do you mean by you can set them...? If you mean using the instrument cluster DRL setting, then it seems the DRLs for your Edge are set like that. Maybe a previous owner changed them using ForScan or through a dealer. -
I think in case there is binding in the flap then the case itself would require replacement, though I don't remember anyone bringing this issue up here. All the cases brought up here are for the actuator as what akirby stated above.

Are you sure the door lock was never changed before? Try spraying some WD40 inside the key hole and try again.

Since @BeDevil79 is talking about a UK spec vehicle, it is important to remember that the imperial (UK) gallons are not the same as US gallons – a UK gallon equals 4.55 litres while a US gallon equals 3.785 litres. So MPG numbers will be higher than in the US (~20% higher).

Sorry for getting off topic, but once you install the 20" wheels, could you comment on the difference compared to the 21"s? I am considering downsizing for the same reasons once the current tires need replacing.

What have you done to/with your Edge/MKX today?
omar302 replied to WWWPerfA_ZN0W's topic in Accessories & Modifications
European cars in general have a feature that the 4-way flashers turn on (or brake lights flash) under heavy or sudden braking. That would be very nice if it could be added or enabled in our cars. -

The ANC is done by the DACMC that is contained within the ANC. The ANC is the CD unit of the infotainment system in the dash. DACMC 2.7L Only The DACMC ANC function only operates while the engine is running, and the luggage compartment lid and all doors are closed. The DACMC is a digital signal processor that consists of an internal analog/digital converter and tone generator. For ANC, the DACMC uses engine rotation speed data, engine torque data, accelerator pedal position data, and ANC microphone input signals to calculate the targeted frequency needed to cancel engine noise within the passenger compartment. The DACMC ANC frequency signals are output by the ACM to the audio DSP module as fluctuating AC voltage. The audio DSP module sends the signal to the LHF door speaker, RHF door speaker, and subwoofer speaker as fluctuating AC voltage. The DACMC is contained within the ACM. The DACMC and ACM require separate PMI procedures when the ACM is replaced.

Panoramic Roof tinting
omar302 replied to OB1KINOBE's topic in Glass, Lenses, Lighting, Mirrors, Sunroof (BAMR), Wipers
I had 3M Crystalline installed and it was manually cut. They had the big rolls that are bigger than the glass and so it covers it completely. -
The MKX/Nautilus does not have power up rear seat backs. It has the same mechanism as in the Edge. It is actually quite rare to have the 2nd row (middle row in case of a 3 row SUV) that has power up seat backs.

@Markham12 He has AWD - All Wheel Drive.

Rear Wiper Arm removal?

You need to use a puller like this: https://www.amazon.com/Lisle-54150-Battery-Terminal-Puller/dp/B000I14RY6 -
Thanks @WWWPerfA_ZN0W for the reply. For the OP, this is the link for the post about the TSB.

I am aware of the TSB for 2015 and early built 2016 models for the same issue that involved replacing the Brake Booster, but don't remember the ABS module reprogramming, do you have more details?

Did you turn it on with the button on the turn signal stalk?

In addition to the above, I'll add these 2 a bit more expensive options which in my opinion are worth the extra cost: For a wired adapter, there is now the OBDLink EX which was developed with the ForScan team and is considered one of the best options. It also automatically switches between HS & MS-CAN to read all Ford modules. It can also work for Firmware flashing that might come in future ForScan builds. For wireless, the updated OBDLink MX+ has the an additional feature compared to the non + version in that it includes Free unlimited vehicle-specific OEM data upgrades. This allows you to use OBDLink's app to read manufacturer specific codes for many other makes. For Ford vehicles it won't matter because ForScan does a better job anyway, but is a useful tool if you have other makes.

Attached is the procedure for changing it. Hope it helps. Rear Shock Absorber.pdf

Yes. You can easily flash the stock tune back. Takes around 5 minutes to flash.
-
As far as I know, it should work. Getting an APIM module with Navigation and having it programmed to your vehicle would add navigation. Check with @jmr061 as he offers a lot of modifications in his site.

I didn't find mode9 with ForScan, but it is easily found under the reports tab with the OBDLink Android app. Flashing LMS custom tunes nor flashing back to stock affects the counter. The reason I looked for this is because of the attached GSB (page 16). G0000128 Gas Engine Performance Modifications.pdf

It is probably the blend door actuator. Try resetting it by disconnecting the battery for 5-10 minutes or disconnecting the connector. If it doesn't work then it probably needs replacement.
