  1. As per the Service Manual, the PTU only send power to the rear.
  2. I have had the Vredestein Ultrac Vorti (summer tires) on my Edge Sport for about 9,000 KM, and they are good. They are not listed on Tirerack, so they might not be known in the US. They are made in the Netherlands.
  3. I would suggest that you should pretend to take your Edge to a dealer to fix it. From pretending to read the posts in this thread, it seems the most likely issue is that the HVAC module needs to be re-programmed as per TSB-14-0062 posted here which probably only a dealer is able to do.

    Finally

Congratulations. Enjoy your retirement. Seems you are now spending more time here
  5. The best Bluetooth adapter, as far as I know, is the OBDlink MX and connects to both HS & MS CAN in Ford vehicles automatically. Though it is a bit pricier than others.
  6. That is definitely not a user friendly procedure. And surely more involved than earlier models. Seems there is a cinch release button for vehicles equipped with a power lift gate that needs to be pressed. Then, for all vehicles, you'll need to insert a a 3.5 mm wide flatbladed screwdriver through the access cover opening at a 45 degree angle for 10 mm deep on the right hand side then 5 mm deep on the left side.
  7. Adaptive headlamps mean the light beams turn right or left with the steering wheel to illuminate the side your turning into. I had them in my 2011 MKX and they were noticeable, especially when changing turns (from left to right or vice versa). Very useful in my opinion. Also, upon startup, if the lights are on they would do a system check up and turn left then right, can be seen if parked close to wall at night. Here is the link from the owners manual for the 2019 Edge. Also, from reading the order guides, it seems with the adaptive headlights the Edge would also get LED turn signals. Though the owners manual bulb specification chart doesn't seem to be correct in this regards (still lists 9005/H11 & D3S for low/high beams instead of LED)
  8. I think OP's question is regarding the engines & transmissions specifically. If that's it, as far as I know, they are the same with only a few tuning tweaks. Edit: on the mobile site, the thread title is cutoff. The full title is "What (if anything) is the difference between the Edge Sport 2.7 and the MKX 2.7?".
  9. Amy, The dealer should have programmed the new camera in order for the guidelines to come back.
  10. You can also test it by engaging the washer while in revers & see it on the display. Can you take a close up picture of the camera & washer bracket? Want to compare it to my 2016 model to see if it is a possible upgrade. (I know I'd also need the hose and connection from rear washer).
  11. For no. 2, do the switches for the rear windows have 2 detents like the fronts? The 2015-2018 Edge does not have one touch rear windows. On another note, does the ST have rear camera washer? And does it have the 180 degree camera for the rear?
  12. Here is Motor Trend's review: 2019 FORD EDGE ST FIRST TEST: LOWERCASE ST Also noticed that the Edge no more offers the rear inflatable seat-belts.
  13. For me, I just paste the YouTube link & the forum embeds it automatically.
  14. Since she asks why Ford doesn't use the 10 speed auto loses her credibility as an auto journalist in my opinion. She should have known that the 10 speed auto is for longitudinal drivetrains while the Edge is transverse.
  15. Here is a very positive review, and actually I think he is spot on. But I do not like the engine sound, especially compared to the my 2016 Sport.
  16. The MKX's mirrors are completely different. They are even mounted differently, no the door below the window. The Flex is a completely different platform, unlikely that it would fit. On the other hand, the Euro Edge has power folding mirrors, those should fit, but have no idea about the electric connections. Also you would need to change the window switches and make even the driver & passenger door modules. On the 2G Fusion forums there is a how to on how to do it and I'd guess the Edge will be the same (except for the source of parts of course).
  17. SSM 47576 – 2015-2018 Edge – 2.0L EcoBoost – Rattle Noise And Cracked Flexplate Some 2015-2018 Edge vehicles equipped with a 2.0L EcoBoost engine may exhibit a rattle noise at idle. This may be due to a flexplate crack around the crankshaft. To resolve this concern, verify that the flexplate is cracked around the crankshaft using the inspection plate and a mirror. If the flexplate is cracked, replace the transmission fluid pump, flexplate, flexplate bolts and torque converter. Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 303-01A and 307-01. When replacing the torque converter, ensure that the torque converter pilot hub is lubricated with Multi-Purpose Grease XL-5-A (ESB-M1C930- prior to reassembly. For claiming, use causal part 6375 and applicable labor operations in Section 06 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual. APPLICABLE VEHICLES 2015 – 2018 CAR: DQ CD539N EDGE Source
  18. Most US Ford vehicles use 315 MHz. Export models might use different frequencies. For Example, the US Edge uses 315 MHz while the GCC Edge from about 2013 uses 433 MHz. You can check on http://etis.ford.com for your vehicle what is the frequency you Ford uses.
  19. Do you have a charger (phone, USB, detector...etc.) plugged in inside the car? They could interfere with the signal.
  20. Looks like the Continental uses different Paddle shifters.
  21. Congratulations on the new ride. You'll a lot of useful information in this forum and very helpful members.
  22. As far as I know, the 22" wheel do not have the cladding. If you want to check, tap on them slightly with a metal object, you'll know if the surface is aluminum or metal.
