Wonder if one were to use helium, would that make the tires sing a higher pitch? -

Interesting website discussing the advantages and disadvantages of using nitrogen in tires. (Test results, studies, etc.) Spoiler: not worth the cost unless your driving a race car or preserving and classic for years and doesn't get driven much. http://www.tirebuyer.com/education/nitrogen-vs-air -
I ran across some idiot who had one of these light bars' on his car last week. Although he had his dims on, the light bar blinded me. It was pointed straight ahead on the car ( not aimed down) and was extremely bright. I flashed twice then just threw my brights on (figured if he was going to blind me, I would return the favor). Called the sheriff's office and was told that here in Indiana running with these lights is illegal (exceeds max allow light output).

Ahhh, I miss ribs at the Haunted Hamburger in Jerome. Best rims in the west. -
For oil filter, Motorcraft is at the top on Bobistheoilguy.com. (He has tested all of the filters.) For gas additives, I use Chevron 65740 Techron Concentrate Plus Fuel System Cleaner. If you use gasoline with Ethanol in it, remember that it starts to break down in as little as 30 days in hot weather. And it draws water to itself, accumulating in the tank. In winter it can separate and freeze. Best to throw in a can of Heet in the late fall to get rid of ant water in the tank. Techron. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00092893E/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apap_b2plmdZ83K4NR For oil, I have my oil changes done by my local Ford-Lincoln dealer. Use the $30 service which the includes synthetic blend, rotate tires and look over. The synthetic blend is more than adaquate. Personally I would bump up to full synthetic is my engine was a turbo do to the increased heat. (My car has a 3.5).

This service repairs your existing radio http://m.ebay.com/itm/152426688204?_trkparms=aid=222007&algo=SIC.MBE&ao=1&asc=20150313114020&meid=438a278505f1474da7adcd24be3d8a09&pid=100338&rk=9&rkt=30&sd=301940286504&_trksid=p2141725.c100338.m3726&_mwBanner=1 Probably would be better off going to an aftermarket unit and get all the latest features such as Apple Carplay, navigation, bluetooth, etc. http://www.connectedcarlife.com/upgrade-your-car-with-today-s-technology Crutchfield has a lot of good information on adapting aftermarket units, amps and speakers to the Edge: https://www.crutchfield.com/S-AkrtVdhvrln/carsystems/Ford-Edge-Stereos-and-Speakers.html If your looking to add bluetooth to your existing system, try here: http://www.installer.com/cars/by_car.php?carid=6417 As for adapting an 2009 head unit, probably would get too involved and for the money you would probably be better off going with a good Pioneer unit.

2014 Edge Defrost System Problem

Crud can build up in the hvac drain and clog it. Been discussed before, easy fix. See this previous post: http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/21053-clogged-air-conditioning/?fromsearch=1 -
Could be as WWW stated or a bad CV joint. A CV joint will click and grind while turning at low speed (quiet when going straight) and a sway bushing will thud or clunk. Look under the car at your CV joint boots to see if either is cut or cracked.

What are you trying to achieve with aftermarket oarts? What was it about OEM struts and sway bars that you didn't like?
-
My guess it's sticking to the inside walls and parts. You try sucking out the old goo and refilling?

There is no easy answer as to whether these will fit or not. (By "not", they will fit, bit it may throw off the offset by a certain amount. Whether this will affect the drivability or not is the question). You may find the following link informative "Everything you ever wanted to know about wheel spacers." https://www.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?1364210-Everything-You-Ever-Wanted-To-Know-About-Wheel-Spacers Here's a link to understanding offset: http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/tech/techpage.jsp?techid=101

What tores are on your car?

Some other thoughts, mounting hardware, a/c belt getting old - wobbles when the extra load of a/c engages. Idler pulley bearings.

Good you caught it under warranty. Does the new unit have a drain plug?

Varies with location. KBB stares the fair market price is $38,639 base in my area. Need to check price in your area. Also considerations on price include FWD,AWD, engine, paint color, option, and availability. https://www.kbb.com/ford/edge/2016/sport/?vehicleid=414920&intent=buy-new Look at what's bring offered in your area and offer $1000 less. One dealer may have a fat invent and be looking for a way to move product. Another down the street is sitting ok and is not movitated.

I remember reading about the fuel aspect years ago, but I think your right about the Firestone (Eagle wasn't it) tire problem. Forgot all about that, lot of people were killed because of low tire pressure. Caused a big hullabaloo in congress. And yes, it applies to all vehicles (under 10,000 GVWR if I remember correctly).
-
Believe it was enacted as an additional method to become more fuel efficient. A small loss of air uses slightly more fuel. Wish the statute had mandated a visual readout of the actual pressure for all four tires. Does now for many cars, but not all cars and few of the earlier models. Been nice if it did trigger at 10%.
