This recall is specific by Ford Motor Company which is usually responsible for vehicles sold in North America. There might be another recall by Ford of Europe. But since the Euro Edge had/has a different engines & transmissions, the front brakes might also be different and hence might not be affected.

If you are into DIY & mods, you can add it. See this post.

There is no filter to be changed. Only the fluid is changed.

Interior Bulb Sizes?

I don't recall anyone here doing it. Dealers won't be able to help because this not a standard thing to do. -
Interior Bulb Sizes?
omar302 replied to CameronDouglas's topic in Interior, A.C., Heat, Interior Trim
2011-2014 models are completely different from 2015-2020. I'd stay away from that site if they don't know the difference. Also, as @enigma-2 stated above, they are not bulbs. You cannot replace them. You'll have to change the whole light assembly to one that has the color you want dissemble them and solder new LEDs on the circuit boards. Not a simple DIY. -
Tail light Condensation

If you bought them new, check with the seller for the warranty terms. -
From the attached Super Duty quick guide, the Towing DTE uses the average mileage from the last 60 miles, while the normal mode uses the average mileage from a longer distance. Just as @Haz stated above. 2017-Super_Duty-QRG-Version-2_QG_EN-US_08_2016.pdf

Rearview mirror always dark
omar302 replied to BarryK3's topic in Glass, Lenses, Lighting, Mirrors, Sunroof (BAMR), Wipers
The auto dim mirror has 2 light sensors, one at the back that measures ambient light level and one in the front (behind the mirror glass I think) to measure the intensity of light that might cause glare. If the back sensor is blocked it will make it think it is night time and cause the diming function to come on whenever there is light inside the vehicle, even if it regular sunlight coming in from the side windows or if the dome light or map light is on. -
Might want to share your current vehicle details. Model/year/trim and wheel/tire sizes. Sport models and bigger wheels have stiffer rides.

I think it is a matter of different principles. In Europe, generally, they get more Fog and drive faster, hence the rear fog requirement & expectation that all other vehicles on the same highway also have their rear fogs on. Having one vehicle without the rear fogs on is a recipe for disaster. In the US, having no requirement of rear fog lights means people should drive at lower speeds considering they rely on regular taillights (less bright). The probability of encountering a vehicle with less bright lights is much lower. Then again, if fogs were mandated by law, people would have been more aware. But, living in a country where you have both types of vehicles (with and without rear fogs) is even worse! Especially when people drive 60+ mph in heavy fog and then use front and rear fog light on clear nights.

Does do the cycle on every startup or only the 1st after re-connecting the wiper blade? Compare the connectors from the arm's side, maybe the passenger side's is also damaged. What I had meant was regarding the wiper blades themselves. The OEMs are different, right & left, and the connectors should be slightly different to avoid installing them incorrectly. If you are still facing the issue, maybe post a few photos of how they are installed, someone might have other suggestions.

What have you done to/with your Edge/MKX today?
omar302 replied to WWWPerfA_ZN0W's topic in Accessories & Modifications
Might want to consider using K&N washable Cabin Air Filters, they will save you a lot if you replace the filters twice a year. As for the screws, the 2015-2019 Edge was the first I've seen with them, it felt strange for me especially as the plastic door closes securely without. Actually considered not re-installing them to avoid dropping them when cleaning the filter, but decided to keep them as they must serve a purpose. For the weather stripping, there are also upgraded versions for the ones at the back of the rear door openings. But a bit more expensive, ~$60 each if i remember correctly. Driver side: FT4Z-5828125-C Passenger side: FT4Z-5828124-D They were part of TSB 18-2339 (link) -
For the connector thing, I am not sure which connector you mean, but as for the wipers coming on for one cycle, I am guessing that when you are re-installing the passenger side you are positioning it above the driver side wiper, in this case, the wiper will do a single wipe to correct the positioning. The passenger side wiper should be at the bottom & the driver side on top. That is normal. For the connector, if you mean where the wiper blade connects to the wiper arm, with OEM wiper arms, the left & right sides are not interchangeable, they have slightly different connectors & aero spoilers since they are installed on opposite sides. Maybe they were mixed.

Cargo lid max opening height
omar302 replied to Edgingage's topic in Cargo, Hauling, Roof Racks & Towing
I can't really help. Maybe test it by helping the liftgate up a little by hand and as if the struts were stronger, see if it would still stop early or continue. -
This is only a guess, the current gear indicator on the dash simply displays information it receives. So when the transmission is in manual shift mode the PCM sends the current gear info to the cluster. The Tuner would program the PCM so it sends this info all the time, not only during manual mode.

They should recall all the previously shipped hoses from the same batch, even if the customer did not complain.

2011 Ford Edge Sync Replacement
omar302 replied to magnum3672's topic in Audio, Backup, Navigation & SYNC
Replacing the MyFord Touch screen with a used one should be relatively cheap. MyFord Touch is refferd to as "Sync 2". You can upgrade it to Sync 3 if you want a good upgrade (link to a thread). The Sync system is actually a module (APIM) and screen. You will need both in case of upgrading to Sync 3. Your vehicle might only have a bad APIM, a used replacement on eBay is like USD 150 only (example). You will need to program it using ForScan with a compatible adapter. Or contact @jmr061 who is a member here who might sell you one programmed ready for your vehicle. -
HVAC and ambient lighting issues
omar302 replied to stevie's topic in Interior, A.C., Heat, Interior Trim
The touchscreen is called the APIM. The faceplate with the touch buttons is the FCIM. As far as i know, the HVAC module is not related to, and does not control, the ambient lights. maybe check the fuses if there is a common circuit for both. -
Given your Edge is at the edge of Powertrain Warranty coverage (5 years or 60K miles, whichever first) and with a TSB already issued for it, maybe try to contact Ford customer service if they would cover it under warranty.
-
No, it can't. I have not found anything related to it in ForScan.
