  1. @enigma-2 Do you have Polarized sunglasses? They will reduce a lot of the sun's glare.
  2. MACT once made a video about Low Frequency Dampers on the rear brakes, could also be an issue. http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/18253-low-frequency-damper-removal-and-installation-with-pin-kits/
  3. I would try to check if the part number they used the first time matches the part number in the TSB/extended warranty. Maybe they used an old part.
  4. Once you reach 4 keys you cant program anymore. Also you can't delete any key yourself. A dealer only can do it or someone with the right programmer. I assume your talking about the intelligent access keys, not sure if the is also a maximum limit for the regular keys or if the maximum number of keys is the same.
  5. Just trying to figure why would the Explorer have had better stock HID, did you see what model or part number are the stock bulbs on your Edge? A 2013 Explorer Limited a friend owns has Osram 66340HBI (D3S) stock from the factory, does you Edge have the same bulbs? The HBI are supposed to be a bit brighter than non-HBI (4650K vs. 4300K).
  6. This is an official export version, it is for North American vehicles exported to the Middle East and has no navigation, no 911 assist and no Sirius, as far as I know from our cars. It is version 3.8. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BwHhsurV_XCoT1M2eXFZWWY2WVU/view?usp=drivesdk
  7. The 2 stage unlock is supposed to be with key fob unlock button, 1 press unlocks the driver's door & the 2nd press opens the balance doors. Same goes for the keypad. It is the first time I heard of it working as you described, but it would have been very convenient if my car worked the same way. Hope you you figure it out, Sometimes a battery disconnect, resetting the electronics helps sort them out, might want to try it.
  8. I tried setting mine to 2 stage to test, only the driver's door unlocks no matter how many times I pull or touch the door handle.
  9. Some members reported that simply disconnecting the actuator then reconnecting it solved the issue for some time. Might want to give it a try first before replacing it.
  10. Yes 2 stage does work with door handle. With All doors unlock option selected, all doors will unlock when a driver's door is opened (via intelligent access). If only driver door unlock is selected, only it will unlock. Opening front passenger side door always opens all doors.
  11. Anyone notice the camera prices increasing a lot lately?? It is now over $300. Same part number. https://www.levittownfordparts.com/oemparts/BT4Z19G490B http://www.tascaparts.com/oe-ford/bt4z19g490b I posted here because OP mentioned his purchase price, $ 106, which was in the same range as most places online before.
  12. PRNDS illuminates in the console, but it does not indicate which gear your in, they are fixed.
  13. Arabski, maybe that light is for the center console compartment, under the armrest. Do the P R N D S illuminate? Could also be for it.
  14. Thanks, it seems strange how they would be 2012 models when manufacturing is through November 2010!
  15. Refer to this post, Middle East 2007-2012 Edge & MKX have an extended warranty on the PTU for 10 years or 190,000 km. For 2013+ they added a drain plug to allow for periodical PTU oil changes. Also, the extended powertrain warranty is a Ford standard policy, it is 5 years / 100,000 km for Ford vehicles & 6 years / 110,000 km for Lincoln.
  16. From the owners manual: The engine has to be turned off for the auto unlock to occur.
  17. This article is about a company that dissembles cars for reverse engineering, the point is, the BMW example they had has 54,000 individual parts. If non fail, it would be a miracle! Then again, Ford's problem here, as stated earlier, that the part is still failing after several years in production, though truth be told, there have been at least 7 revisions to the PTU, and even though my MKX, being in the very HOT GCC, still has the original PTU with ~ 60K miles.
  18. Did you check this video? Might be worth trying to clean the clad wheels. http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/20032-video-on-why-fords-chrome-clad-wheels-are-costing-you-money-and-damaging-your-tires/
  19. 2nd row seats do not slide, it's the same for all Edges & MKXs, gen1 & 2.
  20. Refer to posts #2 & #3 above. The blend door & actuator are not under the driver's seat, but under the dash on the driver's side.
  21. Just a possibility that maybe it was not equipped from the factory but the OOEM hitch was added by the previous owner. Do you have a window sticker to check the equipped options? if not, you can check using the VIN on https://www.etis.ford.com/and should show something like "With Class II Trailer Towing" under "Minor Features".
  22. The engine & transmission are held together by 3 mounts. Front one is the Engine mount, rear is the transmission mount, and at the bottom is the torque arm (mount). With such high mileage , did you change the spark plugs? They could also cause some vibrations.
  23. FT4Z78500A67A & FT4Z78500A66A Here is one on eBay with a photo: http://m.ebay.com/itm/122089664516 For that price ~ $100 each, I'd glue the old ones back.
  24. 18 MPG in the City is good and as per EPA ratings. As for the coolant, did you try to fill it up & see how long it holds?
