    • From the 10 Oct 2025 Recall Report NHTSA: The vehicle may not emit pedestrian warning sounds in certain instances where there is an error in the audio processing software and the vehicle is driven below 30 kph in electric mode. This condition can occur randomly without input from the driver.   Nautilus Hybrid Production Dates: Apr 04, 2023 - Sep 23, 2025; Number of potentially involved: 31,362 Ford Explorer Police Hybrid Production Dates: Dec 08, 2023 - Sep 26, 2025; Number of potentially involved: 12,076   Description of Safety Risk If the vehicle does not emit pedestrian warning sounds while being driven in electric mode below 30kph, pedestrians may not be able to determine by sound whether there is an approaching vehicle, increasing the risk of injury to pedestrians.   Description of the Cause Software-related faults in the Audio System, specifically within the Digital Signal Processor (DSP) or the Audio Control Module (ACM), may lead to loss of pedestrian alert sounds.   Identification of Any Warning That May Occur The driver may observe a message on the Instrument Panel Cluster stating "Pedestrian Sounder Fault. Service Now".   Planned Dealer Notification Date:  Oct 10, 2025 - Oct 10, 2025   Planned Remedy Owner Notification Date:  Nov 10, 2025 - Nov 14, 2025   From the Advance Notice to Dealers: SERVICE ACTION  DO NOT DEMONSTRATE OR DELIVER any new in-stock vehicles involved in this safety recall. For  new vehicle storage guidelines, refer to EFC13033, Storage Guidelines for New Vehicles.  A complete Dealer Bulletin will be provided to dealers the Fourth Quarter of 2025 when it is  anticipated that a remedy including repair instructions will be available to support this safety  recall.  IMPORTANT: Dealers should open a Repair Order (RO) only when a full dealer bulletin is  published. Opening an RO against an Awareness or Advance Notice will result in warranty  rejections against a recall.  OWNER NOTIFICATION  Owners of record will be notified via first-class mail after remedy availability including repair  instructions have been provided to dealers.  PLEASE NOTE:  Federal law requires dealers to complete this recall service before a new vehicle is delivered to  the buyer or lessee. Violation of this requirement by a dealer could result in a civil penalty of  up to $27,168 per vehicle. Correct all vehicles in your new vehicle inventory prior to delivery. DEALER-OPERATED RENTAL VEHICLES  The Fixing America’s Surface Transportation (FAST) Act law effective June 2016 prohibits a rental  company from selling, renting or leasing vehicles subject to a safety recall. Please consult your legal  counsel for legal advice.    Attachments: RCLRPT-25V691-9732 - The initial report to NHTSA RCMN-25V691-6430 - The Advance Notice to Dealers RCLRPT-25V691-9732.pdf RCMN-25V691-6430.pdf
    • Hi all,  and thank you for chiming in. It looks like wet silicone and on the photo is a tree leaf that I can insert the stem into the gasket and then it leaves a hole in it.  No, I am not cleaning the window with anything unusual, only car soap by hand or when I go to car wash. I have had other cars before, my family owns different brands and only the Edge is with melting seal. Today I was surprised with a quote from a dealership $1000 plus taxes because the entire 🤯window has to be replaced since the gasket is glued to the window. I asked for assistance from Ford and I was told NOOOOOO. My car has less than 37K miles and has 3y 10m and it is falling apart. The initial issue that I went to the dealership was faulty Gateway module  and for it I was quoted $2849+ taxes. The window gasket is the secondary issue. I guess I hit the jackpot. NEVER again I will be buying Ford
    • I have the same issue with my 09, I have replaced injectors with 1A auto injectors new MAF, new evap solenoid, seems like I have gone through it all, smoked the vacuum lines and the evap system. I would like to know if you find the answer. Same codes both banks too rich.
    • I have pretty sure the dealership overfilled my transmission, I have soaked up fluid off the top of it in the cavities the past 4 days after driving it.  There is fresh fluid around the fill/vent cap also.  Waiting for them to get me a loaner lined up so I can get it in.
    • Luckily I have not had to deal with Best Ford (a bit too far out of my way) but have heard mixed reviews, leaning towards "Worst Ford". I have written off Autofair (all locations) in Manchester, both sales and service. In fact, I have written off ALL the dealerships in Manchester.  I have been dealing with Grappone (Concord) and Portsmouth Ford for service.
    • Personally I would never use anything but OEM. Period.   I talked with my independent mechanic about this a month ago. What he does, cost, loaner, etc. He said he drops the sub frame to change the water pump.    While the engine is out he also changes the timing chain, tensioners & chain guides (comes as a kit), plugs, coil packs, serpentine belt and tensioner, camshaft position sensors &  camshaft actuators.   Think there was one or two more items, but can't remember. Basically anything he can easily get to while the engine was out and is known to fail.   I mentioned the transmission OSS, etc & he said he does not touch anything on the transmission; unless its a problem.   Change all fluids of course: oil, transmission,  steering, brake and coolant. Change air cleaner.    Clean throttle body, MAF & EGR.   Though inspection of all suspension and steering components.    Most of the engines this mechanic works on are over 150k so you could afford to be conservative due to your milage.)   But ...! ALL PARTS ARE MOTORCRAFT.      .
    • I apologize for my last message being off-topic. I also need the part number (and what it looks like) of the last part. I need to replace the headliner soon and will need the clips that hold it in place. Can you give me the part number for the clips?
    • 2011 Edge, 69K miles. Daughter ran out quick this morning and when she got home there was coolant leaking on the drive.    Confirmed that it was coming for the weep passage. Dipstick is clean oil and the level is not elevated.    Pricing out parts for the water pump replacements.    Opinions on what else should be replaced while in there?   What brand of aftermarket parts are you comfortable with?   Thanks
    • Compared to the two other brands I've tried after the original set wore out, I decided liked the originals best for all season performance and tread life.   I've had tires installed at Costco with no issues, but thanks for reminding me about the potential damage to the Ford lug nuts - I just recently installed the new set that I got when the dealership destroyed them at the 5K mile service (had them on the shelf all this time). I'll insist that impact wrenches not be used.
