Good idea, as you will be able to use the modern features like SYNC, BLIS, etc. You might have to do some wiring because not all of the connections will be the same.

Power Fold Mirrors installed and fully functional but 360 cameras on pause. As previously mentioned, I was able to make a harness adapter 16pin-to-22pin with a 4pin pigtail for the side camera. Harness went in like a breeze.   The hole in the door where the mirror connector sits has to be widen a bit to accommodate the new 22-pin Chinese mirror. Any good rotary tool will do the trick.   Took a lot more pictures, available upon request.  

Thank you. I don't really understand anything about AWD or transmissions, but I saw that the 09 transmission vs the 11 ratio is different , and I have no idea, but we'll find out.

I have already stripped all interior and body parts of the 09 MKX and I had previously stripped down my 2011 MKX. I added to the 09 mk  liftgate, rear bumper, impact bar and tail lights from my 11 mkx and everything fits. Doors seem the same so I am not going to remove them. Now,  The only problem I have found is that front does not fit because  2011 Edge has extension and the 2011 radiator support  and fenders does not fit. I suppose I should remove the ones from my 2011 MKX and weld them to the 2009 MKX frame. As for the electronics, I plan to move the dashboard with all the wiring, computer bcm and other parts to the 2009 MKX, suggestions?

Between the 2007 and 2011 Ford Edge and the Lincoln MKX, there were significant electronic and communications system upgrades. Both model years use a combination of High-Speed (HS-CAN) and Medium-Speed (MS-CAN) Controller Area Networks. For Gen 1.5 in 2011, a new Infotainment CAN (I-CAN) was introduced to support the more advanced multimedia features. The 2007 Edge featured a simpler setup, with modules like the Audio Control Module (ACM), Instrument Cluster (IC), HVAC, and Smart Junction Box (SJB) on the MS-CAN, and safety-critical systems such as ABS, PCM, and the Restraints Control Module (RCM) on the HS-CAN. Optional modules included the DSP, parking sensors, and satellite radio. In contrast, the 2011 Edge added far more complexity and integration, especially with the introduction of the MyFord Touch system. The 2011 model also transitioned to a more advanced Body Control Module (BCM) that replaced the earlier Smart Junction Box as a central gateway. Anything is possible if you swap enough parts over and put enough money and time into it. Hey EDGE forum,    Was on the highway when my car stopped going into gear. Got home checked all related fuses and relays. Pulled a computer off of a 2011 and into the 2013 once I got it programmed nothing changed in behavior.    The symptoms. Car won't enter into gear. Sounds and feels like the engine is in limp mode. In neutral a can maybe hit 4000rpms, nothing more. When I put it into gear I get major hesitation from the engine. But no transfer to the driveline. When I put it into manual mode the gear changes from 1st to 5th on the display pretty rapidly. But doesn't actually engage. I take my foot off the brake and it tells me to put it into park. The obd tells me nothing with forscan beta and the vlinker adapter   Not much info online as to what the problem could be that I've found. And I'm pretty much tapped out. I've got another transmission to put into it, but it's not a task I am looking forward to, especially if there is something else that I'm missing.   Any tips on what I can test, check or replace to maybe get this thing moving?
