    • Well after many many hours trying to figure out the issues, I concluded the BCM was faulty and causing all my electrical issues. I ordered a used one from ebay but when I tried to install it, it wouldn't let me. I researched about auto computer programing tools and I learned about FORSCAN. I used FORSCAN to try and program the new BCM and it kept giving errors. After many more hours looking through forums and youtube videos, I figured out that the previous owner changed important setting in the BCM that made a lot of electronics do crazy things. After all my research I was able to find the factory settings for my car and restore the BCM with original settings that fixed most of my issues. I still have the navigation and backup camera issue that I still need to fix but at least I wont have to drive while the interior lights are throwing me a rave party. If you haven't heard about Forscan I really suggest you look into it. That thing saved me hundreds of dollars. But if you do get it, don't go messing with your car's setting until you have a full understanding of what you are doing.
    • Changed the fluid in the 2019 Edge ST today. 45k miles on it, fluid looked a touch red still and didn't stink. No metal shavings.   TFT up to ~185 Drained 4.7 qt / 4.44 L Added 5.28 qt / 5 L per FSM TFT up to >185 Pulled leveling plug and drained .68 qt / .650 L out (until fluid dripped down side of case) Added 1.05 qt / 1 L after leveling plug back in (??? its what FSM said so I did it ..)   No idea if I was low to begin with but I followed the FSM exact. 2022 Edge ST Transmission Fluid Drain and Refill (2).pdf 2019_edge_transmission.pdf
    • Had the battery replaced recently by a local (and highly recommended) shop.   This shop by the way, specializes in Ford cars/trucks.  The guy there said that at 60K (I'm just over that) the transmission/torque converter should have it's fluid flushed and replace and that the transaxle (AWD) should similarly have it's fluid replaced.   Ford's maintenance schedule makes no mention of this.   What's the scoop?
    • I did.  It came up with 5,  although really only 2 that were recurring.  P0113 > Intake air temp. #1 circuit high P25B0 > Fuel level sensor "A" stuck or has a malfunction. I feel bad that I haven't had time to work on it.  Not really sure where to go from here.
    • I'm getting ready to start an air suspension install this weekend on my 2024ST. I've been doing a lot of searching and can't find any threads regarding people putting an air suspension on an edge. Am I just not searching the right place or with the right keywords? I can't find any threads, anybody have any pointers for me? Thanks.
    • I just thought I would write a quick post about some maintenance that I performed yesterday. I am on my second edge ST now coming from a 2020 to a 2024. I've got about 16,500 miles currently. Yesterday I did a complete fluid change. The radiator fluid tested fine and was pretty easy to swap. The rear differential was very dark, almost black and the new fluid is a caramel color so it was definitely at the end of its life. The PTU wasn't as bad, but definitely a dark, dark brown whereas the new fluid again is a caramel color. I also figured that it would be a good idea to do a transmission drain and fill since I've been getting a hard 1-2 shift. The transmission fluid definitely had a slightly burnt smell to it and was nearly black and the new fluid is a red color. Just a heads up to anybody who is wondering about the maintenance intervals that Ford recommends, I would definitely do them early. I got all of those fluids from rock Auto for about $100.
    • Do you plan on replacing the timing chain sprockets as well?  I'm used to the motorcycle world for when you replace your rear chain, you should replace the sprockets too so that you don't cause premature wear on the new chain.
    • Hello, all!  It's good to find an active forum for just the Edge.  I don't join many forums, but this one seems to be of a high quality and has great participation.  I hope I am able to provide my own helpful information and add to the discussions in a positive way.  BTW, I have a 2020 Edge ST in Rapid Red with the performance brake package.
    • One thing to consider, even with a high quality oil like Amsoil, is that there are many fine screens in the engine that filter oil.  Varnishes may still develop, even with a high quality oil, and cause them to start clogging.  This is especially important for the filter screens on the oil lines going to the turbos.  Just something to be aware of.
