    • Not that you have a time machine and can go back and make sure the vehicle has it when you bought it, but Co-Pilot Assist+ with ACC, evasive steering, and navigation was $795 on my 2019. It was cheaper than the convenience package with alarm, hands free lift gate, remote start, garage door opener, and wireless charging pad (which was $835)   But then there was an equipment group savings and a California package and wheel discount, -$1700 for a 201a ($2800), silly all weather floor mats ($125), Co-Pilot Assist ($795), Convenience Package ($835), pano roof ($1595) and machined dark pocket 18 inch wheels ($895) so not clear what was discounted.
    • Hello Ford Edge Users,   I just had a crazy experience with the vehicle. I have been the happy and proud owner of Ford Edge 2007 for a little over 10+ yrs. Recently after getting a new battery installed back in January after a bitter cold a day prior to getting the battery the electronic system went crazy due to the severe weather. After the battery was installed, everything seemed fine. I even had a basic Maintenace check and oil change. I had to make a trip to Louisville, and I could feel the air at the level needed go out of the tires I recently had the air adjusted in the tires due to the tire sensor pressure fault showing on the dashboard I even hit the reset to see if that was still an issue. Was planning to have those repaired when I had extra money. As of currently the transponder key didn't work, I ordered a new key battery as it's a key with a computerized chip in it. After working with a neighbor to try to get the key to work after an hour and going by the manual that still didn't get it to work. I had then called Triple AAA they came out and give me a Jump to turn on the car and the diagnostics said the alternator and battery were fine and had a charge. I went to AutoZone where I got the car battery, they said the battery was good after another diagnostics test, but I still had warranty on the battery if I had to replace it. They mentioned by accident maybe I left a cabin light on? or a headlight or minor fuse needed to replace that shouldn't affect the functionality of the car.  As the last few days, the computerized system is not showing the tire sensor pressure fault as a potential problem. Knock on Wood!!! the car seems to be behaving and functioning normally!!!👏   Would appreciate any insight on why or how the car would act out of sorts this way? I do not the computerized cars in the modern are so sensitive it wouldn't take much to mess them up. Seems to have been a shortage somewhere??
    • I read some posts and, I do not see why not. One thing I like sometimes, is when I put it in "stupid mode". Set it at a little over legal limit set the distance and then pull over in a slower lane. The car will automatically brake, but sometimes for no reason at all. You then become the NASCAR "accordion starter" unless one mashes the gas! GL
    • I finally bought a new shock from China for a reasonable price.  I am hopeful that it functions properly.  I have not found anyone who will let me hook up an oscilloscope to their adaptive suspension equipped vehicle.  Still I think I can make some headway.  I plan on making a jig to hold the shock which allows me to compress it and then time how long it takes to bully extend.  Once that is done I will just start testing values.  From what I have read they are probably using a fairly low frequency for the PWM.  I will start with 200 Hz and 50% duty cycle and see what happens.  It could take many tests to determine values that work.  Luckily I am retired, so time it not the issue.   I will report back on my progress.
    • I want to add ACC to my wifes 2019 SEL.  The sales a*****e convinced us that the car came with ACC.  We did not figure it out until the next day and they would not do anything to help us. There are long threads on the F150 forum about this.  I have looked into it and I am sure it is possible, but there is a risk that it will not work.  I cannot confirm the changes that would need to be made using Forscan for the Edge.  Probably the same as the F150, but who knows.  I do have a sheet that shows the difference in a 2019 Edge with and without ACC. The cost would be between $500 and $1,000.    https://www.f150forum.com/f118/2019-adding-adaptive-cruise-454662/index8/
    • Thanks! I scoured their videos and didn't see one, and boom a new one was created. I wonder if that black ADBV is actually black silicone. I agree the new one looks like Champ made ones (maybe not the $2 one but not the higher end one either), and I think the FL-910S is still better. Still on the fence about the FL-400S upgrade. When I am under there changing the oil this weekend I will see if there are any reasons to not go with the longer one with more filter area.   I did find a PDF with an exploded view and they also say it has a silicone ADBV I guess the other manufacturer uses red to make it stand out from the nitrile ones? • I just finished replacing the upstream 02 sensor on my 2018 edge 2.0 turbo ecoboost and wow what a nightmare. My suggestion as i had the same problem not being able to break it loose from the top side. Take the driver tire off and go in from the bottom left side. It almost has to be done one handed and very uncomfortably but definitely couldnt complete it from the top so hope this helps someone
    • Ecoboost 2.0 and Coolant intrusion. It does require a new engine that has a different design to not have this issue again. It is an unfortunate issue for 2015-2018 Edge and 2017-2019 Escape and Fusion. My 2017 Escape had a similar possible issue that could happen and I stressed out about it a lot. (Un)Fortunately it was lost in an accident at 96,000 miles and it never had any issues, but it was still a bit stressful waiting for it possibly happen. One of the reasons I went with a 2019 Edge when there were better equipped 2017-2018 for less, the common issues it has are cheaper, external, and in the case of the one I bought, already fixed and reprogrammed.
